Since we don’t have a car, I’m a very light packer when it comes to my diaper bag. The absolute essentials for me are just a couple diapers and a package of wipes when we’re not going far. But usually I also have a change of clothes + sunblock in the summer, some snacks, a sippy cup of water, and my camera. Like most parents, we have several different diaper bags depending on how much we need to pack. Are you a light packer or a heavy packer? What do you usually carry in your diaper bag?

I also like to carry paci wipes (also good for cleaning toys) because our daughter inevitably throws something on the ground as well as baby-safe wipes for cleaning her hands.

I feel like I’m a light packer but I carry almost all of the items on your list, lol. I think all the compartments in my diaper bag makes it feel less cumbersome. Organization is key
Like sweetandtart, I also carry baby-safe antibacterial wipes for wiping icky grocery carts handles and restaurant tables.

the diaper bag I’m getting has a wallet that comes with it, so I am going to use it as a diaper bag/purse & also keep my wallet, chapstick, & a brush in there. And for baby, since we are cloth diapering, a wet bag or 2 for the used diapers.

Thank you for this list. I am just getting ready to pack our first diaper bag ans was so lost as to what needed to be in it. This really helped me a lot.

I have a separate changing pad/wallet from Amy Coe, I keep it in the undercarriage basket of the stroller. That’s saved me so many times, because I can keep a few diapers and a travel case of wipes in there and unfold it one handed. I can easily spread it on top of a public changing pad while holding my son, I wouldn’t plop him on it without it!
