I took maternity pictures with Punam Bean when I was almost 9 months pregnant with Charlie.  Even though I felt huge and I don’t like posing for pictures, I’m so glad that I have these images to remember that period in my life forever.  Perhaps it was the purported pregnancy glow, but I think it was the very talented Punam who made me look much better than I do in real life!

It was our meetaversary that day, so Mr. Bee got me this replica of my wedding bouquet.

I developed this linea negra when I was pregnant with Charlie, and it took almost a year to go away.  Strangely enough I haven’t developed one at all this time around.

I have very few pictures of myself in recent years since I’m always the one behind the camera, so I knew I wanted to take maternity pictures with this pregnancy as well.  I try to work with someone new every time (there are just so many amazing photographers out there!), and 2 weeks ago I shot a session with the fabulous Jen Huang.  Because she’s a film photographer, the pictures take longer to receive.  I can’t wait to see them!  This time around I wore summer dresses, so I think the two shoots are going to have a totally different feel.

Are you planning on doing a maternity shoot?  I highly recommend it because the years post baby just fly by like one big blur.
