These are Charlie’s favorite toys from 18 Months+!
1) Crayola Sidewalk Chalk. Charlie was obsessed with chalk from before 18 months of age, but we couldn’t give it to him because he’d eat them. Now he loves drawing with chalk on paper and on the sidewalk.
2) Crayola Crayons. Like chalk, we couldn’t give Charlie crayons before 18 months of age because he’d eat them. Once we decided to put Charlie in daycare, I started drawing with him every day since he’d be doing daily art projects in daycare. Drawing is definitely currently one of Charlie’s favorite activities.
4) Little Tikes Easy Score Basketball – We taught Charlie to say, “Swish!” every time he makes a basket. This is not a small toy, but it’s one that every toddler loves.
5) Elmo – I think it’s Elmo’s high voice. No toddler seems to be able to resist him, and Charlie was no exception!
6) Thomas the Train – I scored an amazing deal on a used Thomas the train set in great condition with tracks, accessories, and over 40 trains (they retail for $10-$20 each), for only $40! Charlie especially loves the electric trains. This is perhaps the ultimate toy for toddlers 18 months+!
7) Baby Einstein Alphabooks – Charlie has loved these since he got them for his first birthday because each letter of the alphabet is an individual book. Now that he can name many of the images in the books, he loves them even more!
8) Rockabye Rocker – We’ve had this rocker since before Charlie was 1, but he didn’t really get into it until he was about 18 months old. It plays 4 different songs and Charlie loves to bob his head along to the music as he rocks.
9) Mega Bloks – I bought these when Charlie was a year old, but he didn’t how much interest in them at the time. Fast forward to 18 months and Charlie plays with these every day. He definitely prefers them over Legos.
10) Hot Wheels – Cars have been an obsession of Charlie’s for as long as I can remember. But I waited until 18 months to buy him some Hot Wheels when he stopped putting toys in his mouth (they’re indicated for ages 3+). He just wasn’t nearly as interested in plastic cars!

My little guy loves most of the same toys as Charlie! I haven’t gotten him the Thomas train yet, but plan too. Unfortunately Noah is still trying to eat the crayons at times, so I have to keep my eye on him.

My 23 month old son is OBSESSED with Thomas & Friends, and has been since he was about 13 months old. He spends ridiculous amounts of time just lining up and pushing his trains back and forth, and I swear, it was my saving grace while I was on bedrest with our second son. You certainly scored with the amazing deal you got on the train sets, cause we just dropped about $300 on trains and tracks for his birthday and Christmas.
