We purchased the BabyBjorn Potty Chair, BabyBjorn Toilet Trainer, and the Kalencom 2-in-1 Potette Plus Travel Potty and started casually potty training Charlie when he was 18 months old. Charlie didn’t show much interest in the Potty Chair except as a toy, but I liked the Bjorn toilet trainer because Charlie couldn’t get off of it without our help. He happily sat on it reading books, and from the second day of potty training, he was pooping and/or peeing every morning. After a couple of weeks, he decided he wasn’t into the potty anymore, and we didn’t push it because our nanny was leaving, he was starting daycare, and then Olive was born.
But now that things have settled down a little bit, I want to resume potty training again soon. When we ask Charlie whether he’s pooped, he usually tells us the truth. Last week he said, “There’s no poopy in there,” when Mr. Bee asked. And when he was running around without a diaper this week, he said, “pee pee,” and then proceeded to pee on the floor a couple minutes later. I think he’s ready.

when we get one, i’m definitely gonna get the ones with the holes that go on top of the toilets. i don’t want to be emptying out the other ones!
i like how yours covers the boy parts haha. the one my SIL has does not. good for pictures.

When we get to that point we’re only looking at the ones that just reduce a toilet seat hole. I have no clue who thinks that emptying out a bucket of poo sounded like a good idea.

I have the #2 and #8, #2 the bjorn potty was great in the beginning since i could put it anywhere we were hanging out, but it got annoying to clean out every time. The seat trainer is great and we still use it in the bathroom downstairs but the upstairs we installed the toilet seats with the trainer

we’re going to do a potty accessories guide too that includes stools!
how do you like the mayfair seat?

Love it, it so easy to use since the potty seat fits into the cover. No need to put the seat on or figure out a place to store it and best of all the i can put the cover down so my son stops trying to throw toys in it. I looked at Kohler’s but the potty seat didn’t hide inside the cover.

they’re all so cute!
I’m undecided if we’ll want one that fits the toilet or one that is at their level so they can run to it themselves,

We have the baby bjorn toilet trainer and love it. We’re doing a bit of EC and I was afraid a toilet reducer wouldn’t work for her tiny butt but it works great for our 5 month old.

I was planning on the the BabyBjorn Potty this weekend but I think I will also get the toilet trainer. Seems like Charlie likes it.
I think it’s a bit tough on my end to potty train mavi because he doesn’t speak yet. But hopefully he will understand what the potty means.

I also trying EC (Infant Potty Training) and recently purchased the Bjorn Smart Potty – it’s designed like the Bjorn Potty chair but the size of the Bjorn little potty.
I’ve been training her on the toilet (sitting in front of me) so I haven’t actually used it yet but she’s sat on it a few times and looks really comfortable on it.
The mayfair looks cool, might have to pick that one up also.

We love our Baby Bjorn Potty Chair. I’m not sure if it’s the Smart Potty size but my babe’s been going since she was very tiny (part time EC/since 4 mos.) and is very comfortable on it. Looks like it will be great for years to come.

I don’t think your timing could be any more perfect – I need to get one of these this weekend! My LO has finally started pointing to his bum when he thinks he is pooping, which means he is aware that he is pooping.
I decided to go with the Prince Lionheart weePOD Toilet Trainer because we have two bathrooms so I can just leave it on at all times. Keeping my fingers crossed he will like it.

I’m with @tequiero21 – we will definitely be getting one that fits right on the toilet seat as while I am fine with the idea of cloth diapering, I think I must draw the line at cleaning out a baby toilet. I can’t even clean OUR toilets, the husbone does those. blech. I’m also going to try EC as I have the time
