With the holidays just around the corner, I thought it’d be fun to share all the ornaments we considered for Little Marbles’ first Christmas! We ended up going with #1, the Lenox pink giraffe, and was able to order it in time. Many of these are still available and most vendors are offering free shipping for the holiday rush.

1. Lenox Baby’s First Christmas 2011 Giraffe Ornament, Pink (Personalized)
We liked that we could personalize LM’s name on the ribbon as well as the year and thought the giraffe was just too darn cute to pass up!

2. Beehive Kitchenware Baby’s First Christmas Ornament
I have always loved Beehive Kitchenware’s goods and this ornament is no exception. I love the simplicity of the stamped letters and the durability of the metal. Considering that LM already loves to tug on the ornaments on the low branches of the tree… this would not be so easily broken.

3. Etsy Seller, Byapryl, Baby’s First Christmas Ornament Personalized with Custom Wire and Stones
I love the detail in this ornament. This one was a big contender but we worried about it being a little too fragile. It’s a very unique design and truly handmade!

4. Etsy Seller, ChiCercaTrova, Baby’s First Christmas  Two Layer Personalized Custom Hand Stamped Christmas Ornament
Another great handmade option and also very baby-friendly. The charms on the ornament are also customizable.

5. Waterford 2011 Silver Baby’s First Christmas Ornament
Waterford is a classic must have for most bridal registries (we even got a few pieces when we got married), so this a great consideration if you’re continuing a tradition or looking for a collector’s heirloom piece.

6. Etsy Seller, Palomas Nest, Custom Animal Ornament
I’ve been a huge fan of Paloma’s Nest since purchasing one of her ring bowls for our wedding. These animal silhouette ornaments are just too adorable to pass up! There are multiple silhouette choices (Lamb, Pony, Hippo, Whale, Elephant or Giraffe) and are customizable with your choice of text.

7. Land of Nod Make an Impression Holiday Ornament
This fun imprint kit would be a great gift for grandparents or a wonderful keepsake for baby’s first holiday season!

8. Pottery Barn Silver Plated Bird Cage Locket Ornament
Another great keepsake with custom monogram option as well as a place for the latest photo of your little one. We received one of these as a gift and love it!

9. Hallmark Baby’s First Christmas
A fun little plush option that’s dated with the year.

Is this your LO’s first holiday season? How are you commemorating it?
