See the before post here.
Every time I walk by the open door of Liam’s nursery, I smile. I just love how it turned out so much. I hope you like it, too!
It’s cozy, comfy, calming, and also bright and cheerful. I think it’s a perfect space for a growing boy, but with a few small changes, it could work for a little girl, as well!
Here’s a breakdown of all the elements of the room:
– crib – hand me down from neighbor
– bunting – made by me with cardstock and twine I already had
*blanket – was my grandmother’s, repurposed from guestroom
*toy – gift, Skip Hop
– rocking chair – $65 on craigslist, $200 reupholstery including fabric from Upholstery Zone in Woodland Hills, CA – used $100 cash gift toward this
– reading lamp – Ikea
– curtains – Ikea
– curtain rods – Target
– blinds – there when we moved in
– heart pillow – made by me, total cost less than $5, inspired by Ashley Meaders
tree stump side table and black vase – from living room makeover by Emily and HGTV
book shelves – picture ledges, Ikea
rocking moose – gift, Ikea
height chart – $8 for wood, already had stain and black paint
cowhide rug – from dining room makeover by Emily and HGTV
dresser – $60 on craigslist, $15 for stain, free labor by husband for fixing it up
changing pad – Amazon.com, cover – Land of Nod
wooden tray – $5 at Bed Bath and Beyond
table lamp – Target
art – shower activity
terrarium – vase from the dollar store, $2 rocks from Bed Bath and Beyond, $2 succulent from a nursery
shelf with hooks – $15 after coupons from Michaels, stained same as dresser
letter L – $5 at Michaels, painted with leftover acrylic paint
print – gift from etsy, frame – repurposed from storage, spray painted white with paint we already had
soft blocks – shower gift from my mom
storage ottomans – Target
light fixture – shade: Ikea, light: Ikea
frame – $10, Bed Bath and Beyond
Michelle is also pregnant, due in June!
Mr. TTT and I snuck in on the photo shoot for a few pictures, too.
*pillow, blanket, and toy are for decorative purposes only and will be removed before Liam is ever placed in the crib.

Amazing job! It looks like a great room not only for a baby but eventually for a toddler, too. I’m planning on doing those Ikea ledges for shelves as well. So cute!

Aw, cuuuuuute. Love that rug and the tree side table.
I love those book shelves, too, but I guess I wonder whether a toddler will be flinging the books everywhere when they are so temptingly displayed? Or trying to scale them like his own personal climbing wall, LOL.

You did such a great job! I loooove it! Love the picture ledges to hold books and the rocker with the heart pillow.

@Mrs. Yoyo: I’m sure there will be some book flinging, but that’s kind of the point! I really want the books accessible so he can see the covers and reach his favorites. I know they won’t be so perfectly displayed forever. As for climbing them, we’ll have to teach him that’s not allowed

@mrs. tictactoe: Ha, true. Even better a reason to have everything so nicely documented right now.

@Mrs. Yoyo: exactly. I’m sure I’ll look back at these photos and laugh one day when there’s poop smeared on the wall and toys covering the floor.

What an awesome room!! Everything looks fabulous – very classic but still very fun. Love it! And all of the pieces you repurposed from other areas in your home look perfect in the nursery.

I loooove this… way too cool. You did an amazing job. I love how there is no theme, but it’s all very cohesive still. It works perfectly.
That is so cool about HGTV! I will have to watch the episode when I get time.

Can you provide the height of each shelf?? The placement is perfect!
