My due date is Wednesday, and the Tricycle household is still solidly Team Green. Although I initially wanted to find out what we were having, Mr. Tricycle convinced me to let the sonographers keep it under wraps. With only hours? days? weeks? to go, I’m sooo glad it’s going to be a surprise!
Even though I’m happily anticipating the big reveal, I’m still into playing guessing games. I haven’t allowed myself to make a gut prediction (I don’t want to convince myself it’s one thing, only to feel a crazy sense of disappointment if I’m wrong), but I’m not above trying out all the old wives’ tales to see if they can come to a consensus.
Here’s how things shake out when predicting Baby Tricycle’s gender:
According to this, we’re having a boy. We’ll find out soon enough! Were old wives’ tales correct for your baby? Do you have a prediction for me?

Wait I’m confused…. you’re due a few days before me and I conceived in March. But this says you conceived in July. Is the lunar calendar different??
I’ve always thought you were having a boy for some reason. So that’s my vote!

I’m guessing girl for you!
Every old wives tale pointed toward girl for me. The Ramsi Method said girl when I was 8 weeks along.
We found out the gender at 18 weeks, and it was a girl (obviously!)

I carried in the front for both DD and DS, so that one wasn’t particularly accurate for me! I vote girl.

@MamaMoose: yes! The Chinese lunar calendar is way different – I “really” concieved in March/April, not July. It also says my lunar age is 32, but I’m only 29.

I’m guessing girl. (But always guess wrong… so maybe I should really guess boy?!) I love reading these different types of predictions… fun!

We’re having a boy, and his heart rate has always been in the 150s, I crave everything, and the Chinese gender test also told me I was having a girl. So for you, I pick boy as well (also based on your other answers )!

@Mrs. Bee: I have three IRL friends having boys this year too!
I pick boy…. awhile ago I was thinking girl… but the ONLY indicator that was right for me was that I carried like a football. One lady at my church came up to me and said I was having a boy because I was looking like a football. Girls look like a beach ball soooo looking at your photos I think boy

Boy. Every test you mentioned above, I had the same exact answers and we had a boy.

Hmm…I’d say boy! Staying tuned to find out!

I think Little Tricycle is a boy! I have zero basis for this, but that’s my vote! I’m so excited for you guys and can’t wait for this little miss or mister to make a grand entrance to the world!

I’m guessing boy just based on how you’re carrying. All but one of my signs said girl so I had girl clothes ready…had a boy! I knew it early in labor, something just felt boy, just my new mom’s intuition!
Did you have any dreams/vision about a baby? I had a vivid vision during a daydream about a skinny blond little boy very early in my pregnancy. Even though I wanted a girl, I think that “vision” was telling.

We didn’t find out either and my tests were mixed about 50/50 but every time someone would tell me for sure I was having a boy I would get really annoyed – also when I would try out our baby “names” I felt like a total freak except with our girl name. We had a baby girl!

Ah I don’t have a guess! But I carried in front with my daughter, so could go either way!
However, the morning sickness, acne and cravings were both true for me! My biggest pregnancy aversion was meat.

Before my gender reveal, everything but the heart rate pointed to boy. A friend of mine with two girls took one look at the high heart rate and said 100% its a girl! And it was. So I say girl, based on that!
