She uses spoon flower to print her fabric; she designs the patterns herself then they print and ship the fabric to her. The organic cotton starts at over $20/yard!! so it's not cheap just for supplies, much less her time to finish the blanket. But I still haven't jumped the gun and bought one yet either - but I really want to!! @shopaholic: thanks! @Bao: all the wooden toy shops are AMAZING.
