i’m a big fan of newtons and sauconys for running shoes – they’re stylish but they work for my feet. I’d never (again) buy a pair of sneaks solely based on looks – had an experience similar to Mrs. Stroller after my first marathon, lots of knee pain. Fixed it by properly getting fitted for sneaks next race season :)

I do like the looks of the Nike Frees though (and the colors) :)

I always wear them lol. If I don’t wear good, supportive shoes I actually get painful tendinitis flare ups in one of my feet. I often wear a pair most similar to 4.

@Mrs. Superhero: @Leialou: I am the same as your ladies, they are for function only. Just thinking maybe fun looking runners will make running more fun and maybe help me to multi task before and after (stop at the store, run laps at the park with the kids, etc).

I am with PP’s that I don’t wear tennis shoes unless I’m going to the gym – never just to the store or anywhere! I also avoid yoga pants in public – usually just pull on some jeans.

You missed a lot of great brands though!! Mizuno has some fun colored shoes that are great for running, as well as Asics and Saucony.

I like the first ones best, maybe because they look the least like runners. I only wear running shoes for running, but then, I also don’t leave the house in yoga pants unless I’m going to yoga.

There are so many cute ones here… but I’m with @Mrs. Stroller. I have really bad pronation and no arches. So I’m stuck with the ugly running shoes the amazing running specialist matched me with for working out. That said, I could totally see myself sporting #5 or #8 to RUN errands. ;-)
