It isn’t often that we get to take photos together as a family. Our first professional photo shoot was Chloe’s newborn pictures. Our photographer, Leeann, surprised my husband and me by putting us in front of the camera, too. Neither of us were dressed for the occasion or prepared, but they are some of our favorite pictures together. We hired the same photographer to take Chloe’s one year photos and this time, we dressed appropriately. We figured she’d take pictures of us as a family again, and she did! It was really important to me that we have our photos taken together — our last as a family of three! — so we hired Leeann this summer to take our family maternity photos.

I spent a lot of time obsessing over what to wear and drove myself (and everyone around me!) crazy. I am pretty great at decorating our home or designing, but for the life of me, I cannot dress myself or style our family.  I found this infographic on Pinterest that helped so, so much.

This infographic helped me decide on a color scheme and who should wear what.  We went with navy, coral and grey — the same colors as the nursery!  We didn’t incorporate any patterns into our outfits, though I did make sure to match my accessories to Chloe’s dress.  It was so much fun taking our photos, and I can’t wait to share them with you!
