Our most requested feature ever has been the ability to add kids to your profile. So we built it! Now you can add any of the following to your profile:

Pregnancies If you’re currently pregnant, you can add your pregnancy here – along with a due date, if you’re so inclined. Screen Shot 2015-07-24 at 11.18.22 AM
Children You can add kids to your profile as well. If you input their birthday, we can automatically calculate their age as well. Screen Shot 2015-07-21 at 2.26.29 PM
Miscarriage You can honor any miscarriages or stillborn children on your profile as well. Screen Shot 2015-07-21 at 2.28.53 PM
Loss We know some parents have tragically lost their kids, and we wanted them to be able to honor their angel babies. Screen Shot 2015-07-23 at 10.34.03 AM

Here’s how it works:

PREGNANCIES AND CHILDREN

You’ll see a new section called “children”. You can add age and gender of pregnancies or children (both are optional).

* AGE: We will never display any birthdays. We will calculate an age based on the birthday and display that. You don’t have to input a birthday, or you can keep it vague (e.g. the first day of the month or year in which your LO was born).

* GENDER: Gender is also optional.

MISCARRIAGES AND LOSSES

You can also add miscarriages to your profile, including the number of weeks at the time of loss.

We also added an option for adding an angel baby to your profile (just click +MEMORIAL, then +LOSS). If you’re comfortable adding a date of birth and date of loss, we can display the age of your angel baby.

All of the above are FREE features for all bees, both gold and classic. Anyone you add will show up on your public profile here.

PRIVACY

We do have some additional privacy features for gold bees. As with several other fields on your profile, you can control who can see your children: everyone, only logged-in bees, gold bees or nobody (besides you). You can control those privacy options here:

Please note: any children/pregnancies/miscarriages/losses added to a profile only display on your profile page for now (not next to your posts or avatar). We may add this over time, as I think it’d be really handy! Sometimes I’ll see a comment from a parent about say, toddler sleep, and I’m always curious how old that person’s kids are.
