For the mane:

Step 1: Take one sheet of tissue paper and fold it in half. Then fold it in half the other way. With the folded edge on top, cut strips all the way up, leaving about 1 inch of uncut paper at the top.

Step 2: Open up the tissue paper one way and cut directly down the middle to get two pieces.

Step 3: Starting with one piece, completely unfold it and start rolling up the middle area, making sure to untangle any fringe as you go.

Step 4: Once you have rolled up the whole piece, twist the middle.

Step 5: Form a loop with the middle and twist again to secure. Repeat these steps to create a lot of tassels in different colors.

Step 6: String all of the tassels on a piece of yarn and knot the bottom tassel around the yarn so they do not fall off. Tie the other end of yarn to a headband.

For the tail:

Step 1: Fold one sheet of tissue paper in half width-wise. Cut all of the way up the paper to the top, leaving 1 inch uncut.

Step 2: Cut down the middle to create two pieces.

Step 3: With one piece, twist the top together and secure with a piece of masking tape. Repeat these steps with different colors until you have a good amount to make a tail.

Step 4: Cut out a rectangle of cardboard and fold it into a square. Poke holes in the sides and string a piece of yarn through large enough to tie around your little one’s waist.

Step 5:  Layer up all of the tassels for the tail and hot glue them to the inside of the cardboard square.

Step 6: Secure the cardboard shut with more hot glue. Tie the yarn around your little one’s waist to put on the tail.

For the horn:

Step 1: Starting at the corner, place your party blower on top of the paper. Roll up the paper around the blower until all of it is cover.

Step 2: Poke holes in the sides and attach an elastic string long enough to fit around your little one’s head.
