When Charlie was about 3 months old, I realized that I had practically no toys for him!  At that age he was able to better control his arms and hands, so he was able to grasp toys.  I went on a bit of a toy and teether bying spree.  These were his favorite toys from 3 months+!

1. Winkel – This is a fantastic first toy because it’s so easy for little hands to grasp.  Charlie loved this from Day 1.

2. Skwish – I bought the Skwish along with the Winkel, and though Charlie vastly preferred the Winkel at first, he really got into the Skwish when he was a little bit older.

3. Fisher Price Brilliant Basics First Blocks* – Charlie loved knocking these blocks over when we’d stack them for him.  As he got older, he’d stack them himself, and at around 1, he was able to put the shapes inside the correct opening (with a little direction).  At 21 months, Charlie still plays with this toy.

4. Munchkin Mozart Magic Cube* – I think this toy is pretty cool.  You activate various instruments by pressing the sides of the cube until you have an entire orchestra playing.  Charlie was super into this toy from 4 months and up.

5. Leap Frog Learn and Groove Musical Table* – Charlie was obsessed with this toy for quite some time.  When he was a baby, I sat him at the table in his bumbo.  The legs also come off very easily so your baby can also play with it on his belly.  When Charlie was a little older he would pull up on this to stand.  Once he’d mastered eating Cheerios, I would fill the lidded compartment them — much to the delight of his playdates when they would discover the hidden surprise!

6. Mini Tinkle Crinkle – This was definitely a favorite toy of Charlie’s for some time.  It’s small so it’s easy to hold, and it makes crinkling noises.  Charlie would chomp on the head, the tail, and the body in between.

7. Leapfrog Spin and Sing Alphabet Zoo – Charlie has enjoyed spinning the wheel on this toy since he was 3 months old.  The songs are pretty catchy and I found myself singing them all the time.  This is another toy that will probably have a long life because now that he’s older, it can teach Charlie the alphabet.

8. Leapfrog Baby Counting Pal – We received this toy as a gift when Charlie was around 2 months old.   We kept it on the changing table and it really made diaper changes and clothing changes a lot easier.  He loved the bright colors, sounds, and all the different songs that it played.

9. Green Sprouts Stacking Cups* – It doesn’t matter what kind of stacking cups you get — we have three different sets and Charlie happily plays with all of them.  These upside of these cups from Green Sprouts are that they’re BPA, PVC and phthalate free, so you don’t have to worry about your newborn chomping down on these.  As your baby gets older he can stack them, nest them, and of course use them as bath toys!

10. Boon Bath Goods – Bath time became a lot more fun once we bought these toys that stick to the wall.

11. Wood Blocks – These wood blocks are not only cute, but Charlie loved stacking them and knocking them over.  Hopefully they’ll help him learn all his numbers and ABC’s soon!

12. Fisher Price Crawl and Cruise Musical Jungle* – Someone in my local parenting group was giving this away for free, so the price was just right!  At first I thought this was a stupid, huge toy that didn’t do much.  But Charlie instantly became obsessed with it.  I singlehandedly credit this toy for teaching Charlie how to stand.  He played with it for hours daily for months on end.
