By 9 months of age, Charlie was obsessed with standing and cruising. I remember this being a stressful time because Charlie would fall and hit his head often. I was always close by trying to catch him, but being the little mischief maker he is, he still got hurt constantly. These were some of his favorite toys from 9 months+ — most of them involved standing and cruising!
1. Edushape Sensory Balls – All kids love balls, and these are easy to grip for small hands.
2. Melissa and Doug Wooden Chomp and Clack Alligator Push Toy, 3. Radio Flyer Classic Walker Wagon, 4. Little Tikes Shopping Cart – Charlie really started getting into walkers around 9 months of age, and these three were his favorite. You can read more about walkers in our Best Walkers Guide!
5. Kidkraft Red Retro Play Kitchen – Though play kitchens are supposed to be for ages 3+ when children are more capable of imaginary play, I bought this when Charlie was 9 months old and it was definitely one of our all time best purchases. Charlie could play with this for at least an hour at 9-10 months of age, and still plays with it pretty much daily. Watching him wash his hands in the sink cracks me up!
6. Fisher Price Little Superstar Classical Stacker – We had this toy since Charlie was a newborn, but he wasn’t really able to play with it until he was around 9 months old. He loved dancing to the music, looking at the flashing lights, and stacking the stars. An all around great toy!
7. Melissa and Doug Magnetic Kitchen Collection, 8. Melissa and Doug Food Groups – With a play kitchen, you need some play food! These items have continued to entertain Charlie at 21 months. The condiments with magnetic lids are a really great buy because kids love anything with a lid.

The walker and edushape balls are two of my LO’s favorites on your list. Highly, highly recommend the walker for those looking for one. The cost is so worth it.
