These are some of my favorite products for bathing and changing Charlie:
1) Diaper Pail – We actually used the Baby Trend Diaper Champ with Charlie because it didn’t require special bags like most other diaper pails. But once he started eating chunky solids, the diaper pail smelled horrible because it held so much we didn’t have to change it everyday. Now we just use a small Simple Human trashcan and toss out his poopy diapers daily. We actually have a cat litter trashcan that is identical to the Diaper Dekor Plus pictured above, and it does contains smells better than the Diaper Champ did.
2) Changing Pad – We opted for the Naturepedic Organic Changing Pad, but there are many more affordable options out there. If you don’t want to deal with washing changing pad covers, the Babysmart CoShee Changer is also an option to consider.
3) Hooded Towels & Washcloths – These Aden & Anais sets are sweet. Hooded towels are definitely not a necessity, but a nice to have. And I personally don’t use washcloths, but I think that’s more of a cultural thing. My hands work just fine.
4) Brush & Comb – I loved this cute little Skip Hop Hare Brush and Comb Set. We brushed Charlie’s hair every day even when he was just staying home, so that he always looked nice and groomed.
5) Changing Pad Cover – Changing pad covers can coordinate with your nursery decor. If you want something custom, Etsy is a great place to look!
6) Bathtub – We loved The First Years Infant to Toddler Tub and used it until about 8 months when Charlie decided that he wanted to stand. The sling provided a lot of support for slippery babies. The Primo Eurobath is another popular option. And if space is limited, you might want to check out the Puj foldable tub. We have a Puj, but because our bathroom sink is small, I still prefer using The First Years tub.
7) Diaper Bag – You will probably end up with multiple diaper bags like most moms (I’ve had 4 and am in the market for another!). This Diaper Dude Messenger bag is unisex and has tons of pockets for everything you need to carry. Mr. Bee likes carrying this bag, and I don’t mind carrying it either.
What are some of your favorite bathing and changing products?

Great suggestions! We love our Coshee changing pad. Easy to clean when there are “accidents!” I also got an Amy Butler craft/sewing tools caddy to use as a diaper caddy to store diapers, diaper cream, and other miscellaneous changing items.

One must-have for us are the Boppy Waterproof Liners that we put on top of the changing pad. This has saved us from constantly washing the changing pad cover and is more eco-friendly than disposable ones.

the summer infant right height bath center. It is a totally convertible tub that i can see us using for a long time. It comes with a padded newborn back support for safety. I’ve found that it can also be used outside of the bath if you need to prop the baby up for something like after they eat. It has a base that you can attach to the bathtub that makes it higher so you won’t need to stress your back, when the baby is old enough it can be used at a toddler step so they can reach the sink. It’s been awesome and I’ve been recommending it ever since!

love our hooded towel from Dwell Studio…. my very tall 3.5 yea old can still use the same towel since she was a baby and it completely wraps around her with room to grow. We also got a Pottery Barn Kids hooded towel as a gift… nice too, but Dwell is preferred. Love the cute animals and personalization options for PBKids one though!

Oh I would love to see what diaper bags you have and why you love them! I’m having the hardest time picking one out!

I’d like to see what diaper bags you’ve used too! I’m having twins, and it’s been hard choosing a bag too.

We LOVE The First Years Infant to Toddler Tub – DD has been using it since birth. She takes more showers now but still occasionally sits in the tub for water play

Two products that made bathtime much easier for us:
Primo Eurobath: This tub is awesome. I’ve used it since she was a newborn and I expect it to last til when she’s 2-3 years old.

California Baby Super Sensitive Shampoo and Bodywash: My LO has super sensitive skin and after trying many baby bath products (Aveeno, Johnson’s Naturals, Eucerin, Cetaphil), this was the only one that didn’t irritate her baby skin.

I usually leave the cover off of the changing pad in case of accidents. It’s much easier for me to wipe it off than to change the cover each time. I guess I’m just lazy.
I have been on the look out for a unisex friendly diaper bag, and the Diaper Dude looks like a great option. My husband loves bags, and I think he might like this one enough to sport it in public.
I also second @Red ‘s recommendation for the California Baby Super Sensitive Shampoo. My LO has very sensitive skin, and it has been a life saver with his outbreaks of eczema.

Hmm…I seem to be super cheap. My son’s first “tub” was a plastic bucket that I got from a discount store. The “ghetto” version of the Tummy Tub. Then after he outgrew that we just put him in a regular kid’s tub that we got for $0.30 at a rummage sale.
The plastic bucket then became his diaper pail (we cloth diapered). A good portable wet bag/diaper pail is the Rumparooz wet bag.
IKEA has a good changing pad (inflatable sides) and optional covers.
Love hooded towels.
Toiletries: also another vote for the CA Baby line. We like the creams to treat dry patches.
