Starting when I was 9 weeks pregnant, I’ve been taking weekly bump photos so that I could document my body’s change over time. Here’s a collage I put together of all the pictures so far (click on the picture for a larger view):

The chalkboard I use in these photos was actually used to direct guests to the reception at our wedding. We made a bunch of them to use as signs for various things: locations, menu, seating, guestbook, etc. I also plan to use them for our shower and for weekly baby photos!

I love pictures of feet, so I had to include them in my weekly photos. Maybe I’ll do weekly baby feet pictures, as well!

Here are some milestones from the first five months of my pregnancy:

7 weeks – saw the heartbeat on an ultrasound for the first time.

10 weeks – nausea kicked in, but never enough to make me actually throw up. I actually liked feeling nauseous because it reassured me that things were progressing.

11 weeks – saw a baby (not just a blob) on the ultrasound and it waved at us!

12 weeks – told work and they took it very well. I was really nervous since I had just started at a new school.

14 weeks – felt the baby move for the first time! I was at work, sitting at my desk, while the students worked independently. It felt like little butterfly flutters.

15 weeks – heard the heartbeat for the first time on the doctor’s doppler. So cool!

16 weeks – almost passed out at the mall. I was by myself at H&M and waiting in line to buy a belt, when I felt like I was going to go down. I finally realized I had to get out of there and get a water and a chair before I completely embarrassed myself. Luckily, I was ok.

18 weeks – Mr. TTT felt the baby move for the first time!

20 weeks – anatomy scan! We had the tech write down the gender on a card and didn’t open it until Mr. TTT’s birthday, which happened to be on Thanksgiving this year.

21 weeks – a stranger asked when I was due for the first time. It was risky, on her part (I don’t think I was obviously pregnant at this point), but she was the barista and I did ask for decaf… and made her confirm that she heard me (I’ve had them screw it up before).

23 weeks – first photo shoot as a family of five… sort of. Yes, the dogs count as family, but does the baby?

24 weeks – accepted as a blogger for Hellobee!! Yipee!

I love documenting each week of pregnancy, but it’s getting harder and harder to find the motivation or time to do it. I know it will be worth it in the end, so that’s why I haven’t missed a week… yet.

Have you/would you take weekly bump photos?
