My last “bump” photo post seems like ages ago! My oh my how the Baby H bump has grown! It’s crazy how much I couldn’t wait for a big old bump to appear and now that it has… well, as much as I love that it’s a sign of a healthy Baby H and bringing us closer and closer to meeting him/her, it’s still a big old heavy bump!
Scroll through the world of the growing bump and I’ll meet you at the end!
Now at 36+ weeks, it’s crazy to think that baby could arrive any day! I have a little over 2 weeks left at work so I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that we see no action until I’ve completed my last day in the office.
I still feel pretty good except for the fact that I caught a really horrendous cough/cold that knocked me out for a little over a week. I even had to call in sick to work… my very first sick day this entire pregnancy! I have started experiencing a lot of foot/ankle swelling, especially on my left side. Apparently Baby H is leaning really far to the left and putting a lot of pressure on my left side, resulting in an extra swollen left foot/ankle. My lower back has started hurting a bit more and I think I’m beginning to experience some Braxton Hicks contractions. I know from the midwives that I have been having them, but just not feeling them yet. Whatever it is I’m experiencing, it’s like a quick lightning bolt of pain every once in awhile.
Baby is still moving quite a bit, giving me some big kicks in uncomfortable places and using his/her foot to cause a terrible, searing pain right around my rib cage. I don’t feel like the baby has dropped yet and while I hope that when that happens it might give my ribs a little relief, I’m assuming it will just cause discomfort in other places!
Regardless, we’re having fun putting the finishing touches on the nursery right now, buying all of the final things that we think we’ll need from baby, and getting excited about when “baby day” might be!
Oh, and just to show I’m not scared to show my face around here these days, below is a full shot from my 36 week photos. Gah, my chubby face!
Is anyone else in their final month? How are you feeling lately ladies?

I’m 37 weeks and very excited… not knowing exactly when the baby will come is the most nerve wracking part. I kind of think I will go past my due date but who knows..

37 weeks today! Just had an appointment and was measuring at 34 so the baby’s definitely dropped. I’m still getting PLENTY of kicks to the ribs though.
You look absolutely amazing – so happy for you!

Thanks everyone! It’s crazy to see how much the bump has grown
@Witz: Thanks! I actually made the curtains…a total of 6 8-foot long panels…saved us a ton of money instead of buying them, but it was definitely a labor of love!
@tequiero21: I can’t believe you are having your twins so soon – so exciting!!

You look great. But I thought my face looked chubby the last couple of months with Olivia as well. In the delivery room, just hours after having her, everyone was commenting that my face looked normal again. Good luck with those last weeks, they can feel like forever!
