After much debate and shopping, we finally found a crib! It wasn’t easy making the decision, but we had to bite the bullet and do it because time is of the essence in this adoption process. Here is what I learned at the end of the day:
- Wow. Baby stuff is expensive. Or it can be anyway.
- There are way too many to choose from, which makes it impossible for new parents to decide.
- Although there are millions of cribs to choose from, it’s ok to look at all your options. You will feel much better about the purchase when it’s all said and done!
Ok, so I didn’t learn anything pivotal that parents don’t already know. But I’m new at all of this and I have yet to experience what it’s going to be like to be a mother, which is why I’m so happy to have support and suggestions from you dears! I’m just so thankful and blessed beyond words.
I had been drooling over the Oeuf Classic Crib since I first spotted it on Lay Baby Lay. I knew I had to have it. Then of course, I looked it up and quickly realized this crib was worth more than any piece of furniture I owned, aka not gonna happen. Well as luck would have it, my dear friend spotted this exact crib at a cute boutique downtown for more than 50% off. What are the chances, I still ask myself?! So without further ado, let me introduce to you our new and fabulous crib!!!
On top of all the love and support they’ve given us, my folks decided to buy us this crib. My family lives in Canada and when my mom tried to tell me over the phone, there was this pause of silence. I couldn’t hear anything, but quickly realized what was going on — she was crying happy tears on the other line. She had waited so long to bless my husband and me and our soon-to-be baby. We both had a little tear time together. My parents are amazing and I am so happy to experience this new journey with them!
The Oeuf classic crib is clean, contemporary and finally ours! I can’t wait to get it all set up and show you our ever-evolving nursery.
What is your style when it comes to cribs?

Very pretty!
It’s soooo hard to buy baby stuff. It’s all so expensive so you don’t want to make a mistake and have to buy a different one, or regret your decision. I’m more of an antique/vintage type girl, so I guess LO’s crib is prettty traditional.

I would have loved an antique/vintage crib! Because we are adopting, we had to have a brand new crib that met all the safety requirements
We are all about vintage finds and unique pieces for our home. This is probably the newest piece in our nursery!

That crib is definitely my style, but not what I want to spend. I love to admire it though.

we have an oeuf sparrow for charlie. oeuf really makes nice, modern, classic cribs. but we got a jenny lind crib for olive (less than 1/4 the price), and it’s just as cute.

I love this crib – unless I can also find one 50% off, I don’t think I can justify it. I WILL drool from afar, though!

I love this crib! i really wanted it too. We decided on the gray mod modena though, similar style for a quarter of the price.

It is a beauty. My Baby mod is quite similar but I’m sure there is a quality difference!

I do admit, this crib would have been WAY out of our price range too. I think we really lucked out with it being discounted. I actually loved the classic look of the Jenny Lind crib, I think that might be our next crib! We will see!
