Just for you busy bees, I scoured Pinterest to inspire you with some of the most creative, beautiful nurseries to be found on this side of virtual reality. Here’s a little detail eye candy to start off your week!
{ No. 1 } A gallery wall of quirky drawings will surely captivate Baby’s attention. I’m loving the black and white accents in the rug, crib sheets and hanging birdcage––a surprising neutral that works well to ground an otherwise busy room!
{No. 2 } Call me star-struck but this chandelier-lit, bronze-tinged nursery reminds me of Mel B’s swanky nursery, minus the plum accents. Elegant with a touch of glamour, this is one non-typical nursery/sanctuary Baby Mama wouldn’t mind putting her feet up in!
{ No. 3 } First of all, let’s talk about how big this nursery is! Mkay, now that that’s out of the way, wouldn’t this red, white, and gray palette make for a sweet Olivia the Pig inspired nursery? I can almost hear the rambunctious piglet pitter-pattering away on those gorgeous white-washed wood floors!
{ No. 4 } This nursery is the perfect mix of vintage meets modern. Classic pieces like a tufted armchair, wooden dresser and antique crib are offset with an on-trend chevron rug and a refreshing turquoise and coral palette.
{ No. 5 } Get barnyard-chic with a clever DIY project involving a repurposed barn door in your wee one’s nursery! The fabulous farmhouse theme is carried through in quirky yet understated details like a fur rug, mounted animal busts, stuffed sheep, and a vintage toy tricycle.
{ No. 6 } Masculine charcoal gray walls provide a neutral background to build upon with colorful accents. I love this idea of having a couch in the nursery, instead of your typical glider or rocking chair. That, and a couple tall bookcases, lend an inviting, library-like quality to this contemporary nursery. Graphic framed artwork and a printed rug pull it all together.
{ No. 7 } Dark wood, warm whites and soft grays exude an aura of Old World tradition. A library chandelier and floor lamp with architectural detailing complete this distinguished nursery.
{ No. 8 } I don’t usually dig the color pink much. But, in small, subtle doses like this, this pretty shade can pack a punch. Paired with shades of ivories, elegant crown moulding, and oversized frames with scalloped edges, this blush-colored nursery is fitting for a little princess in the making!
{ No. 9 } What’s not to love about this cirque-inspired twin nursery? With its bright candy colors and red and white striped drapes, it is the perfect touch of whimsy and cheer––without looking like Bozo the Clown’s circus!
And last but not least, my favorite Pinterest nursery that inspired Baby Maxwell’s very own . . .
{ No. 10 } Cool gray and white horizontal stripes in this nursery feel one part nautical, one part modern, and 100 percent fresh! It is a surprisingly easy backdrop to dress up in a number of ways to make the space your own . . . Baby Maxwell’s nursery tour coming soon!
Which one is your favorite?

I love the dots nursery best! I haven’t been able to find out how they did that though… It links back to a german site from pinterest.

@kml636: Aren’t the polka dots so fun? It’s hard to see exactly how they did it here, but I know you can buy pre-printed wallpaper, i.e. http://www.collector-connection.com/wallpaper.html

I love nursery posts! I can’t wait until I can start pinning nursery ideas, but I have to keep our TTC on the DL for a while longer! I really like, 1, 2, 4, 7, and 10, but I want the rug in No. 7 for my regular house!
