Hello Hive!

I’m so excited to start blogging for Hellobee as Mrs. High Heels!

Mr. High Heels and I have a little girl named Noelle who just turned 18-months on July 6th.  Let the “FUN” begin!  Actually, it’s already begun, if you know what I mean. ;)  I will be blogging a lot about our adventures with our little human, what it’s like to be the first and only of our friends to have a kid, our thoughts on Baby #2, the lessons about parenthood I’ve learned along the way, and the many many parenting decisions I’ve chosen to make that you may or may not agree with!

Now a little more background about us – Mr. High Heels and I were both born and raised in Orange County, CA.  We met our sophomore year in college and quickly became close friends.  That friendship lasted 5 years when Mr. High Heels finally decided to put the moves on me, and the rest is history!  We got married 2 years after we first started dating, then found out we were pregnant 5 months later.  It’s been a whirlwind of a life!  Needless to say, Baby High Heels was an unexpected surprise, but is now the absolute joy in our lives (this does not mean there aren’t days when I want to scream at the top of my lungs and tear my hair out).

Mr. High Heels works in the finance industry, and I’m a Project Manager for a pharmaceuticals company.  The great thing about my job is my ability to work from home 2-3 times a week.  It makes all the difference to have that type of flexibility.  So I’ve been a SAHM (until my daughter was 7-months), and am now a WAHM and WOHM.  Family is absolutely my #1 priority, and I’m grateful to have a job that allows me to spend plenty of time with the two most important people in my life.

Finally, why did I choose High Heels for my character?  Well, apparently my daughter is a little fashionista (she must’ve got that gene from my mother!) and she loves to prance around in Mama High Heels’ scarves, hats, and shoes – especially the shoes!  Here she is trying to see if the shoe fits…

I’m so excited to share my parenthood journey with you all, including the highs, the lows, and everything else in-between!
