I spent months searching for the perfect baby book.  I looked around in specialty shops and baby stores, but all their books were the same.  They left little room for journaling and photos, and only had space to update “big” things like the birth date, time, the day baby took her first step.  Like my Belly Book, I knew I wanted to record all significant details and milestones, but wasn’t exactly sure which ones were considered important!  Just after the baby was born, I took a leap of faith and ordered a baby book online.  I liked the Belly Book so much that I bought the second book in the series, My Baby Book!

Very similar in style to the Belly Book, the Baby Book is a one year interactive journal.  There’s slightly more room for journaling in this book than in the Belly Book though.  It’s also broken down into three sections:

1.  My Arrival
This section starts off with you, the parents!  You can write about who you both are, how old you were when the baby was born, where you work and live, etc.  It goes into your birth experience, and when and where the baby was born.  There’s even an area to journal on how you felt the first time you saw and held your baby!  This section goes into great detail about “All About Moi!” your baby.  It wraps up with a celebration section (like a christening), and has lots of space for photos.  There is even a place for your first family photos and birth announcement!

2.  My First Year
This section has 12 parts.  There’s a space for a monthly photo, along with some quick stats on your baby that month. There are also “exclusive interviews” for ages three months, six months and twelve months.

3.  My Gallery of Firsts
Of all the sections, I think this one is my favorite!  It has a very comprehensive list of firsts, including things I never even would have thought to write down, like the first time the baby points to a book to read!  There is also a LOT of space for photos in this section, which I love.

Do you have a baby book?  What kind of information do you like to record?
