I’d love to feature some of my favorite parenting related blogs from time to time because I’m always on the lookout for good ones myself! First up is the amazingly talented Jill from Meet the Dubiens. I first discovered Jill’s blog when I was googling around for children’s activities to do with Charlie, and stumbled on her shaving cream bath paint post. I can’t tell you how many times Charlie has painted in the bathtub over the past year. He would do it every single evening if we let him!
Jill is a working mom to a boy and a girl, but somehow she finds the time to pack adorable daily bentos, create fun food scenarios, do activities and crafts galore with her kids, and takes gorgeous pictures of it all. Jill actually told me that before she had kids, she couldn’t cook anything without burning it. But while on maternity leave with her first child, she made it her goal to learn how to cook, and is now the self-proclaimed “queen of fun food!”
Fun fact: I actually contacted Jill about being a Hellobee contributor when we first launched the site, but alas we couldn’t work it out due to her busy schedule.
It was so difficult to narrow down my favorite posts, because there are so many. Her projects and food are always beautiful, but accessible — perfect for a DIY challenged person like me!

I love her stuff! So cute and kid friendly. I think she has a little girl and a boy, not two boys, though. Or maybe I have her mixed up with someone else?

So what do kids think of these fancy food plates? They’re amazing, but do they start expecting them or does it effect what they regularly eat? Just curious, my lil one is still too young to appreciate that effort.
