When it comes to entertaining, my theory is to pick a few small DIY projects for personalized added touches and keep everything else simple. I have a tendency to want to go overboard, so I set limits from the beginning.
I created this rainbow garland using this gorgeous honeycomb paper I ordered on a whim. I love how simple and happy it looks hanging on a white wall. I might even leave it up post-party!
Supplies:
Honeycomb Paper in various bright colors
White yarn/sturdy string
Glue gun
Pencil
Scissors
Instructions:
First cut half circles at the edge of your honeycomb paper. I used a drinking glass for the first template to create a perfect half circle. After that, I used the first half circle as my guide for the others. Make sure you are cutting right on the edge.
Space your colors evenly on your string.
Place hot glue on one side of the honeycomb paper.
Fold the rest of the “comb” around making sure that the string also attaches to the glue.
Repeat for each color.
