This month was full of milestones!

Stats:

Baby Markers weighs 15.2 lbs and is 24 inches long. My tiny girl is small but mighty! She’s wearing 3-6 month and 6 month clothing, and we just graduated to size 3 Honest diapers.

Eating:

Status quo here. She takes 4-5 bottles a day, between 6-8 oz each. She also eats one meal a day, and occasionally a snack in the late afternoon. She’s tried so many fruits and vegetables that I can no longer keep track, but her favorites include peaches, carrots, pineapple, cauliflower and banana. We’ve also started to introduce protein and dairy (beans, chicken breast, cheese) in minimal amounts, but only once or twice a week as it seemed to be rough on her tummy.

Sleeping:

No change here – bedtime is still 8pm and she wakes up around 6:30am every day. I’m working on transitioning to 2 naps a day, as her naps are getting longer (close to 2 hours sometimes) and I know she can remain awake for longer periods of time during the day. We’re not there yet but I hope to drop the third nap in the next couple of weeks. We had some serious teething this month which made naps a struggle, but we powered through and she’s now back to go down easily and waking up happy.

Development:

Oh.My.God. This child is nonstop! She’s crawling all over the place and is now officially cruising as well. She mastered pulling up pretty quickly after she started crawling, and now she can successfully lower herself up and down (constantly). She can also move between objects if they are close enough together – so I’m in constant fear that she’s going to hurt herself! I now spend the majority of my time preventing her from climbing the kitchen chairs and the tv stand, crawling behind the couch or getting into the dog bowls. It’s great fun, I tell you.

We have teeth! The bottom two popped through just last week. That was ROUGH… her naps, eating, basically everything was affected and I felt so bad for her. But then like magic, once they broke through she was back to her normal self.

Likes: standing – all the time!, baths in the big tub, music and singing, banging on things like a drum, crawling as fast as she can away from her mama, belly laughs, screaming/screeching at the top of her lungs, mealtime, cell phones

Dislikes: being held, diaper changes (without a distraction), when she realizes she’s going down for a nap, when I won’t let her stand in the tub

Such a sweet, silly girl!
