We all know that Ikea is a great source for modern, affordable furniture, but I thought I would share some of my favorite Ikea items that aren’t necessarily for kids. We own and use almost all of these items daily!

1) Skubb Drawer Organizers – These organizers are perfect for little clothes like socks, undershirts, diapers, etc. In fact we have 3 sets for all of our dressers! They fit perfectly in Ikea dressers (the Malm is pictured below), and when they’re not in use, they fold up flat. (image source)

2) Losjon Hooks – With this many hooks, kids don’t have an excuse not to hang up their things! These hooks are also a great way to keep bath toys and accessories organized. (image source)

3) Dignitet Curtain Wire – Children have a neverending stream of art projects, and this is a great way to easily display and swap them out. (image source)

4) Spontan Magnetic Board – If you don’t want alphabet magnets all over refrigerator, this magnetic board is perfect for little ones. You can use it to display artcover it with fabric, turn it into a magnetic chalkboard, make a weekly schedule on it, make a chore chartaffix it to the side of a dresser if you’re pressed for space, or incorporate it into a room’s design like you see below on the right.

5) Raskog Kitchen Cart – We have one of these in our bathroom to organize all our bath things, but it would also be wonderful as an art cart, a homework station, to hold extra clothes or even as a night stand.

6) Rationell Cutlery Tray – We use this to organize our art supplies. We keep our crayons, color pencils, paintbrushes, erasers, pencils and more in there, and the kids actually make less of a mess using this! I like that it’s made of wood and very sturdy.

7) Ribba Picture Ledge – We have these in both Charlie and Olive’s rooms to display their books and we love them! Search on Pinterest and there’s no dearth of inspiration for kids’ rooms. I love this little cloud shelf diy using the Ribba. (image 1, 2)

8) Bekvam Spice Rack – We currently have 4 of these as book shelves in Olive’s room. This inexpensive little spice rack is so versatile from book shelf to clothes hanger, to a play kitchen spice rack. The ones below have been decorated with washi tape, but many parents opt to paint these shelves to match the room’s color scheme. Once again you can find lots of inspiration on Pinterest.

9) Komplement Organizer – This is a scarf organizer, but it’s also perfect for organizing stuffed animals.

10) Duvet Covers – Duvet covers are expensive, but Ikea has some really great inexpensive ones that are great for kids rooms.

11) Forhoja Wall Cabinet – The Forhoja Wall Cabinets are great for displaying cute little knickknacks in kids’ rooms. I’ve wanted to pick a couple up but they’re always sold out at my local Ikea. Here’s a double Ikea hack using the Ribba Shelves and the Forhoja Wall Cabinets to create a dollhouse! (image source)

12) Bolmen Stool – We previously had a Baby Bjorn stool but it was too short and the kids couldn’t reach the sink.  I love this stool because it’s so tall.
