For a number of years I’ve been looking for something I could wear that would represent my little one(s).  I love the idea of wearing a locket with their photo in it, or something with their name initials.  These are some ideas I thought I’d share with the HB community if you are looking to find something like this for yourself, or another mom!  These might be great for a birthday, push present, Mother’s Day, a baby shower gift, etc.

1.  Monogram/Initial Necklace:  I have been loving the look of sideways/asymmetric necklaces these days.  There are a number of vendors who sell a sideways initial necklace with the actual letter, but I liked the dainty look of this one with the initials on small discs.  And since we are adding to our family (very soon), I wanted something with the option for 2 initials.  Even though our son is still nameless, we know we are going with a K name, so I was able to customize the order and gift this to myself!  I chose the initials A and K, the first initials of our kiddos and also the first initials of my name and my husband’s name.

2.  Initial Bracelet:  Similar to the necklace, you could also wear your little one’s initials around your wrist.

3.  Vintage Locket Necklace:  I love the look of vintage lockets, and there are a number of them on Etsy!  Such a cute way to wear a photo of your little one(s) around your neck!

4.  Fingerprint jewelry – I recently just discovered this!  Some vendors can send you a kit to capture your little one’s fingerprints, and turn it into a pendant you can wear on your wrist or neck, or put it on a key chain.

5.  Birthstone jewelry – If you don’t want to wear anything stamped, birthstones are also another personalized option.

6.  Birth Date Jewelry – Instead of initials or birthstones, you could also stamp your little one’s birth date onto a pendant and wear it around your neck or wrist.

7.  Handmade Memory Book or Journal – There are some really cute handmade journals and memory books that can be a great way of recording memories of your child’s first year and/or milestones.  I am sure I would have forgotten many milestones had I not written them down!

8.  Personalized Picture Frame – I love the idea of giving this to a mom-to-be with an ultrasound picture (if you can get your hands on one), or with a sweet note of encouragement or a verse.
