I have developed an obsession with Paper Source and seek out excuses to pick out beautiful pieces of paper whenever I can. My favorite craft project so far has been these letters for the nursery. It’s so very simple, takes no talent, and with all of the gorgeous paper to choose from, you can easily create something quite special and lovely!

What I used:

I chose this quilt paper because it offered so many designs in one… making the letters look far more involved then they really were.

1. You simply use the letters as stencils, trace and cut them out (making sure not to do it backwards!)

2. Glue the paper to the letters with the rubber cement. The folks at the store recommended double sided tape, but tape will not stick to this paper (I tried) and this glue works perfectly without making any wrinkles or bubbles. Their website recommends their PVA glue, but I have not tried it.

3. Cut strips for the sides and glue around the letters. I didn’t decorate the back since I intended to hang them on the wall, but if you would like to stand them up on a shelf, go for it!

4. I used the hot glue to decorate the edges with the hemp cord. I applied a thin line of glue a little at a time on the edge, pressing the cord along as I went (careful not to burn myself, but not careful enough of course!)

We used these velcro wall hanging strips to hang the letters (we use them for just about everything, works great!)
