I know some of you are probably looking at this saying, “What leftover Halloween candy?” And if you’re thinking that, I applaud you! This was my daughter’s first year trick-or-treating, and I’m shocked with how much candy she got! But since it’s just little ol’ me here to eat it all, I needed some ideas to put it to better use.

Make art: create sculptures with Starburstsmake paint with Skittles, and then paint with licorice, or use leftover lollipops to make a giant flower.

Learn with it: Make some science experimentssort them, build structures, or find out if candy will sink or float?

Get Creative: save it to make a gingerbread house, create a Thanksgiving masterpiece, make your own advent calender, make a candy wreath, or make love notes for Valentine’s Day (or all year long).

Freeze it: Chocolate will keep for about a year if you put it in an airtight container in the freezer!

Give it: take it to work, give it to teacher as part of a gift, send it to troops overseas with Operation Troop Treats, take it to your local dentist and exchange for prizes with Halloween Candy Buyback, or invite the Switch Witch over and trade if for some other goodies.

Drink it (for adults): pair the chocolate with wine, make candy-flavored vodka, or drop a mini chocolate bar in hot coffee for an instant mocha.

What (besides eating it) are you doing with your leftover candy?
