When I started thinking of ideas for the new baby’s nursery, I decided I wanted a space where Liam could hang out and read or do puzzles. As I started gathering inspiration, I realized that one fun way to do this would be to include a play tent that Liam would love and his baby sister would grow to love. This is such a big trend right now and there are many options out there. I like to be sensitive and respectful to all different cultures, so this post on the boards was really helpful for me to understand how people might not feel comfortable with a teepee in their child’s room.
Some play tents out there can be quite pricey, so we will probably make our own, but I love looking at inspiration from all over for how to style them. Here are some of my favorite images featuring play tents, followed by my favorites to buy and some great tutorials for making your own.
These images are so beautiful and act as lovely inspiration when choosing the perfect play tent for your child’s bedroom or playroom.

There are some play tents that are quite expensive and others that are more affordable, but there is definitely a wide variety to chose from if you’d rather buy than make one from scratch. You can also buy a simple one and make it unique by adding trims, lights, or special pillows.

We love tents in our house! I’d love to come up with a way to create a bed tent so that my boys who share a room can have some privacy.
