Right about now is the time of year when I get sick of all the grey and dreary and cold winter weather. (New Englanders, you get a special shout-out because you’re probably feeling this x 1,000,000!) At the start of winter, I’m all about the cozy winter whites and head-to-toe in (less than 50) shades of grey…but now? Now I’m craving lightweight fabrics, color, and warmth!
Unfortunately, the still-frigid-temperatures are not so conducive to my wardrobe desires, so the next best thing is adding pops of color to brighten up my winter blahs and my now tired winter outfits. Here are some great (warm) pieces to add color to your winter wardrobe and transition into spring. And the greatest part is that since we’re (thankfully) entering the end of the season, many of them are on clearance!
1) Waffle Infinity Scarf in Fresh Kiwi: I love this color and love that it’s a quick addition to any neutral outfit!
2) Tilly Sweater in Aqua: Now that higher rise pants are…on the rise (ha!), this slightly cropped sweater would be a perfect pairing. And, this color is just the loveliest…you can dream of the beach while wearing it.
3) Dip Dye Scarf in Candy Coral: I love the ombre coloring and the tassels on this scarf. It’s a lighter weight, too, so it would be super easy to carry it over into the coming warmer months.
4) Isabelle Bow Pumps in Tea Rose: When it’s not below zero and you don’t mind trading in pumps for your tired boots, these adorable shoes would be great skinny black pants or jeans. I love, love, love the extra splash of color in the bow.
5) Textured Tunic Pullover in Joyful Mint: I’ve had a serious love of mint since it came on the scene in a big way several years ago. My love continues and I love this comfy, minty tunic!
6) Donna Cardigan Sweater in Gold: It’s still freezing out, and there are days when I seriously just want to wear a blanket to work. This cardigan is just about the next best thing, especially in this bright, cheery hue!
7) Marled Stripe Sweatshirt: I know, I know, “there goes Mrs. Cowgirl again with her sweatshirts!” But, seriously, the struggle is real. It’s a challenge to get dressed at this time of year, so bring on the sweatshirts! Plus, how cute would this look in the summer with a pair of denim shorts?
8) Winnie Pant in Fresh Berry: Keep your winter whites and greys on top and switch your bottoms for a brighter pair. This color would be great to carry into spring with lighter weight tops.
9) Tippi Sweater in Heather Lavender: Pastels will be back in a big way, come spring, so colors like this lovely lavender will transition right over into warmer weather.
10) Martie Pant in Tidewater: Oh, hello, beautiful blue pants…I can wear you now with ankle booties and later on with ballet flats galore!
How are you brightening up your winter wardrobe?

Love this! I became a color convert a few years ago when my very fashionable mother told me I was wearing too much black (true). Ever since then, I’ve focused heavily on color, especially in the winter, to avoid feeling dreary.
