Spring Break started for Charlie and Olive yesterday, and they’re off for the next 10 days! They have a fun week planned with mini-camp, a sleepover, and a trip upstate with some friends. Phew I never did anything like that during my spring breaks growing up! My parents were immigrants so we didn’t celebrate most American holidays like Easter, but I never felt like I was missing out too much since we celebrated a lot of Korean holidays. It’s such a fun age now though with Olive and Charlie being 3 and 5, because they’re old enough to understand Easter. It’s the first year where I’ve really embraced the holiday, and even made Easter baskets for them for the first time. I want to create lots of memories for the kids around traditions, and they’re almost as fun for me because it’s all new to me too!
I made Charlie an art-themed Easter basket because he loves drawing. Out of all our toys, our art supplies definitely get the most use.
Draw Write Now drawing book | peeling crayons | color changing magic markers | rabbit pez | no pop bubbles | pinwheel (Target One Spot) | bunny egg w/ goodies inside | Annie’s bunny gummies | jelly beans | fluorescent color pencils | Lego Easter Bunny (great for older kids) | 30 piece decorative tape
Olive is into all things girly and dressing up, so I made a bunny-themed basket for her.
Maileg bunny | Calico Critters Hopscotch Rabbit Family | bunny headband | Hello Kitty Easter egg | Easter nail stickers | dress-up puffy stickers | bag (H&M) | no pop bubbles | floral crown | rabbit glasses (Paper Source) | rabbit Pez | My Little Pony book
. . . . .
Finally I’ve rounded up some of our posts from Easters past in case you’re looking for project or egg inspiration!
