Juliet is two!

This photo captures Juliet perfectly at this age; vibrant, joyful, and full of mischief

How can that be???  Where did my baby go????  They say time moves faster after your first and two years have truly flown by. Before my eyes my little bitty, who struggled with failure to thrive, is now an active, playful, non-stop eating toddler and soon she is going to be a big sister!!!

Much like with Drake the night before Juliet’s birthday I took a picture before bed.  I can’t do sleeping photos with Juliet since she sleeps in the dark without a night light.

In the morning she was greeted with her balloons.  I changed her into her birthday dress and took some additional photos.

second birthday

Sadly Juliet wasn’t feeling well on her birthday, as well as the fact it was a dreary rainy day, so we didn’t get out to do anything really fun or special on her day. The previous day I had taken the kids to a local lavender farm to explore and take some photos, but it didn’t go so well. A day or so after Juliet’s birthday we met up with some friends at the mall to play and ride the carousel, and I learned Juliet is terrified of riding the carousel alone so that didn’t go as well as expected either.

Juliet apparently hates lavender

Though her birthday wasn’t as perfect as I had hoped, the one thing I knew that would make Juliet’s day perfect for her was cake.  And boy was I right.  Before the night was over she was covered in cake and she ended her night with a bath, another favorite activity for sure.

What an incredible year two has been in both growth and change as our baby changed into a toddler. We can’t wait to see what two brings us in the form of being a big sister and starting the beginning stages of potty training and getting ready for school.
