Most of you probably aren’t in the market for a swimming suit right now, but there are some great end of season sales going on at stores like J Crew if you want to plan ahead for next summer. Since we’re moving to a tropical destination where the temperatures average 85 degrees and humid year round, I’ve been stocking up on swimming suits and rashguards for our entire family. I got Charlie’s swimming trunks and rashguards at Stella Cove, Olive’s at Beach & Bandits and Billabong, Mr. Bee’s at J Crew, and mine at Kortni Jeane and Rey Swimwear. I’ve been able to find some really cute full coverage one and two piece swimming suits!
Row 1: Rey Swimwear 1, 2, 3 | Row 2: Kortni Jeane 1, 2, 3 | Row 3: Albion Fit 1, 2, 3 | Row 4: Modcloth 1, 2, 3 | Row 5: Anthropologie 1, 2, 3 | Row 6: J Crew 1, 2, 3
1) Rey Swimwear – I bought the first swimming suit in the guide above, the Ann in Seaspray. They have beautiful vintage inspired designs, and it was hard to pick just one! They also carry adorable girls’ swimming suits too.
2) Kortni Jeane focuses on modest swimwear and offers mix and match tops and bottoms. The peplum details do a great job of hiding your tummy, and I really appreciate the lining and removable bust pads which swimming suits often lack. I wanted to buy one for Olive too, but they were sold out of all the colors I wanted.
3) Albion Fit – I haven’t purchased an Albion Fit swimming suit for myself, but I have for Olive in years past. They have a great variety of styles that are great for hiding a post baby tummy!
4) Modcloth – I’ve always wanted to try Modcloth’s popular Esther William’s line of swimming suits that are supposed to be flattering for all kinds of body types.
5) Anthropologie – I bought the Seafolly Summer Garden Boyleg Maillot last year and it is super cute and flattering for moms. The ruching in the stomach disguises tummies and the vintage style boylegs give you more coverage. I just wanted something that was lighter and had a little less fabric on the legs since I’ll be wearing swimming suits all the time now.
6) J Crew – I bought this floral rashguard that’s on sale right now, and they have a ton of other swimming suits on sale now.
And of course Nordstroms is always a good place to check out as well that carries swimming suits year round.

Love those halter tops from Anthro but after about an hour or so my neck/shoulders ache

My eight-month-old and I started swim classes a few weeks ago, and I made the plunge and ordered my first swimsuit online! After way too much online research, I chose a La Blanca suit on Amazon for a few reasons: full coverage in the bottom, lined bra, no halter top (gives me a headache every time!), reasonably priced, fun colors/design. So far I’ve been very happy with my choice! The only criticism I could see of the one I picked (Serengeti) might be that there’s a fair bit of cleavage. At the moment, though, I see that as one of my assets.

Target, I’ve gotten some great deals on suits there and they do a fantastic job at sucking everything in.

I just ordered one of the Kortni Jeane suits, I’m not confident it will look as great as I want … but I’m a sucker for scales/mermaid print bottom.
Here’s hoping!
