Fiona will be four months old at her first Christmas! I can’t believe how big she is already. Being a baby she naturally has no idea about Christmas, and being the 3rd child I found buying for her hard since she has so many hand me downs. I spend a good amount of time researching toys so all Drake’s things at this age are still around and loved and used. The baby landscape though is an ever changing one, and every time I need to stop by Babies R Us I love looking at all the new cute stuff for babies, even if I knew very few of those items will ever make it to our home. So this is Fiona’s Christmas wishlist had she not been the 3rd child.

1) Lamaze Push Along Friends – Fiona has learned how to roll over and is reaching for a lot of Drake and Juliet’s toys, so a toy that moves on its own a little will grab her attention as well as encourage her to move more herself. I like that the pup has parts that can be placed in and out of it as well to teach that concept later on, as well as the handle for easy toting around purposes.

2) Kick and Play Piano – Similar to an activity gym, the added fun is the piano which baby can activate by kicking. Fiona has just started to wiggle and move around more and I think she would love this right now. As she grows she can sit up and play the piano and even carry it around later on. I really love the colors and cute design, and my only hesitation on getting it is that we already have an activity gym. Had we not owned an activity mat already, this would be Fiona’s Christmas gift.

3) Taggies – All my kids have loved Taggies brand toys. The little tabs are so fun to pull and chew. Their characters are cute and fun looking. Fiona is currently playing with Drake’s car and Juliet’s bunny one. If I got her one of her own it probably be this sheep one since she was born under the Sheep zodiac.

4) Monkey Mat – Once the weather gets nicer I hope to be out and about more with the 3 of them. A monkey mat might be the perfect solution where I can plop Fiona down at the park or beach with some toys while the older two run around and play. It will keep her safe and clean and since its folds up flatter than a towel or blanket it frees up more space in my already teeming diaper bag.

5) My Natural Teether – Drake got his first tooth at 7 months. Juliet was 13 months when hers first arrived. I wonder where Fiona will fall. We have Sophie and Cow, but a friend gave us this one which is both cute and made from renewable resources. Fiona has already been holding it in her wobbly grip, and the ring makes it easier for her over the two we have currently.

6) Tiny Loves Take Along Mobile – Drake loved his mobile when he was little. We had a motorized one with a projection that we turned on for him every night as he fell asleep. When we moved the mobile got lost somewhere in packing, and I wasn’t able to locate it when Juliet was born.  Juliet was held most of the time so it didn’t matter. Now that I’m on my 3rd child though, I find I can’t hold Fiona all the time so a mobile seems like a great thing to have to keep Fiona happy when I need to set her down. I like the fact that this one is portable (why aren’t more mobiles like that??) so I can clip it to her car seat or stroller when we are out.

7) Cloud B – When Drake was born we had the Cloud B giraffe and Twilight turtle, both of which are still in his room now.  I loved the sound machine to help him fall asleep and the great part was how the sound part was removable so I could take it and use it when we were out. Now that he is older he can still play with the giraffe toy. The Twilght Turtle is still part of his bed time routine and I love seeing the little stars light up his room as he falls asleep. The company has created so many more cute options and I am loving the Pegasus and unicorn night buddies.

8) Beatbo – Beatbo is adorable. I have been eyeing him for a while since he came out about a year or so ago. He is a Hot Toy this Christmas as I saw him literally fly off the shelves when I was Toys R Us on Black Friday. He dances and sings, plays freeze dance, and you can even record a short message which he can turn into a song. Here is a short video clip of some of his features. He just seems like a fun interactive toy for little ones and I think even Drake and Juliet will get a kick out of him, which is why I did cave and get this for Fiona.

9) Baby Bath Set – Target has these cute themed sets from B Toys that come with a handful of small toys and items packed in a nice tub for storage. We are huge fans of the B Toy brand from their zany zoo to the doggie guitar to the wheelie cars. I personally like the bath set but they all look cute and fun and a perfect gift for baby.

10) Car Seat Toy – Fiona spends a lot of time in the car as I am always driving Drake around for school things as well as his therapies. Next year Juliet will start some form of school as well, and possibly activities adding to the car shuffle. I thought this toy looked neat for babies who need entertainment while rear facing. I like that it was different from the standard mirror toy and that it’s attached so baby can’t throw the toy. The idea is neat and while this one doesn’t look to be that interactive, I think in the future companies should try to focus more on this kind of toy in the car as most mothers (myself included) will pay a good amount to be able to drive stress free.

11) Fold N Go Elephant – I saw this on a recent trip to Target and thought what a neat idea it was. It’s basically an activity mat that can be folded up and taken with you.

12) Leapfrog Number Loving Oven–  I don’t like to buy a lot of toys that come with parts because they inevitably end up everywhere, but this oven might be an exception  It looks engaging in a variety of ways from interactive to pretend play, as well as the usual songs and learning components. Let’s not overlook the cute factor too. Reviews say there is a hand washing song as well as a some cooking tips (as you raise the temperature it tells you foods that can be cooked at that temperature) which are both fun add ons.

13) Water Blocks – I am so curious about these kind of blocks that make different musical noise due to the water inside of them. I really want to try some to hear the sounds they make.  I have a feeling that these would be appealing for all my kids. I think for Fiona these would be a great first toy to introduce different sounds as well as the visual appeal of the moving water and the different colors. I have been thinking about buying a light table for Drake in the future and these would be great manipulative I think for that purpose too.
