It’s so hard to shop for my parents and my in-laws!
I love them all dearly, but buying for the generation ahead of me is a bit of a challenge. Most of the gift items I can think of they already have, and a lot of the contemporary ideas they aren’t as interested in. Still, I try to get them something they can appreciate or something that will entertain them for awhile.
Here are a few ideas I have, but maybe you can chime in with yours as well!
1) A throw blanket | 2) A Scarf or Wrap | 3) A cookbook | 4) A photobook of the grandchildren | 5) A simple tote bag
1) An all-in-one tool | 2) Travel Kit | 3) Windbreaker | 4) Flip Video Camera | 5) DVD set
What are you getting for your parents and your in-laws?

We just gave my mom a gently used iphone 5S, so we’re getting her a bluetooth speaker for christmas! and…always coffee for my dad…I’m thinking about getting him a shaver next year :).
Planet Earth is great. Wasn’t for christmas but got the chinese narrated version for my dad some years ago.

For my mom a set of colored pencils and two adult coloring books. I don’t think it would occur to her to try it out on her own, but I think she’ll like it! For my in-laws, a Le Crueset pot (for grandma) and a pair of running shoes (for grandpa).
