These DIY decoupage eggs use abstract shapes to create fun patterns. It’s a fun and minimal mess egg decorating idea that’s great to do with your kids. The mod podge dries quickly and clear, so it’s ok for your little crafters to get it all over the egg.

Directions:

  1. Cut out shapes from tissue paper sheets.
  2. Position the shapes if it’s more detailed like the flower above; abstract shapes can just go directly onto the egg.
  3. Place a thin layer mod podge on the egg (works best if the bottom of the tissue is covered in a thin layer of mod podge, so spread it out a bit wider than the cut piece.
  4. Add the cut tissue paper on top.
  5. Apply a thin layer on top of the tissue.
