It’s party planning time again as Fiona’s first birthday creeps closer and closer. Fiona was born in the year of the sheep, so I thought a lamb party would be the sweetest way to celebrate her big day. I have been gathering up ideas from Pinterest as well as my own imagination about how I envision everything. I hope that it turns out as well as I hoped for our sweet little girl. I am planning the party around white, cream, and touches of pink…just like a little lamb!

Inspiration for an adorable lamb birthday party. These are all so incredibly cute !

Invitation – I looked at quite a few different ideas on Etsy but settled on this one. I changed the wording to say “Our Little Lamb is Turning One” and printed them on cardstock through Costco to save some money.

Cake – I am thinking of trying to make my first cake for this party. I saved this cake when I was pregnant with Fiona knowing I had to find a way to use it for my lamb baby. I might try it for the cake smash and go with a real bakery for the actual party, but I still want to try making this for a cute photo op at some point.

Cotton Candy – When I had planned this in my mind I wasn’t sure what kind of favors tied in with a lamb theme.  Then I saw a pin with cotton candy wrapped up in little packages and called “wool”. I love the idea and found an Etsy shop that sells them in cones or lollipop configurations. I am ordering a few samples for Drake and Juliet (and a little for the birthday girl too!) to try the flavors, and I’ll order them for favors and a few extra for decorations.

Decor – I am currently working on a backdrop for Fiona’s cake smash photos, which I hope to take around the same time as her birthday and party. If they turn out well (I’ll be sharing the pics soon), I will probably find a way to incorporate them into the decor, but I also found some cute lamb themed garlands on Etsy I might use as well. I also thought about making/buying some cute lamb themed desserts to add some fun to the tables. I also want to make some yarn balls since it’s a cute play on the theme.

Lambs – Fiona owns a lot of lamb stuffed animals so I will be finding a way to add them to the tables since we already have them and it will go well with the color scheme.

Dessert Table – The main table is going to be a dessert table. I am hoping to make some of them and stay with the theme colors of whites/creams and pinks.  I am hoping to try these few in the coming weeks as the party gets closer.
