Hi hi! Sorry it took me so long to get to this follow up post from my Target for little girl’s one! The good news is, I can now highlight some awesomely awesome fall/back-to-school clothes that have just hit the store. Plus, if your state is like mine and has a tax-free weekend coming up, you can take advantage of that, too!
When Lil’ CB first outgrew the toddler boys’ section I was pretty sad. The big boys’ section seemed so…well, big! But, after shopping it for over a year, I’ve come to embrace the big boy section and Lil’ CB has actually enjoyed helping pick some pieces as he’s developed his own sense of style. Below are some picks I’ve got my eye on (or have already purchased) and/or that Lil’ CB has asked for…you’ll notice that many of these pieces are from Target’s new Cat and Jack line. That’s because 1) the line is amazingly adorable and stylish and 2) the clothes have a ONE YEAR WARRANTY. That’s right, if the clothes break or rip or tear within the course of a year, you can bring your receipt back for a new item or refund! Awesome, huh? Once I heard that, we had to get our hands on their items because Lil’ CB has literally ripped all but two pairs of long pants he has had over the last 3 years. We’ll see if the Cat and Jack pants can stand the Lil’ CB test…and if they don’t, we’ll bring them back and exchange them for a new pair!

I would love if that guarantee holds up and I would love to see how the knees in the pants hold up to my 6 year old. I don’t have much hope for finding clothes at my Target though but I will try. In my area the Boys section is very under stocked and about 1/4 of the size of the Girls section. I took a manager in a walk through one night since I could only find 1 pair of 4T pants, and I ended up with a $30 gift card because she said they don’t stock boys stuff because it doesn’t sell and I responded I need pants and I can only buy 1 pair because you don’t stock the boys section, so do you see the problem?
She acknowledged that I cannot buy what is not there, and I said I don’t expect that the boys section will be as large as the girls but it should be a bit bigger and better stocked. I also let her know it was the same issue at a few other stores since I have tried a variety of locations, there are two equidistant from my house and a third one not far from where I work, and they were all in the same district. Lets see if they did their homework and made some changes.

I buy most of my 5 year olds clothes at target- I didn’t know about warranty on that brand. I’ll definitely look for it when I’m back to school shopping for him!
