Somehow I never got either of my boys a special ornament to celebrate their first Christmas.  Finn was only one-month-old for his first Christmas so that whole season passed in a newborn haze without much thought given to things like commemorative ornaments. Last year for Dash’s first Christmas, I really wanted to make a cute ornament with his tiny little handprint, but it ended up being a complete fail. I don’t know how others do it, but I have never been able to get a good baby handprint. Every time they make a fist at the last second!

This year I decided that even though both of their first Christmases have come and gone, there’s absolutely no reason I can’t still get them a precious keepsake ornament. (Ok, let’s be real – it’s really for me!) I’ve considered going the DIY route again, but first I decided to take a peek at Etsy. There are just so many beautiful, personalized ornaments for pretty much every style and budget so I’m thinking this time I might just make things easy on myself and buy something!
