How Far Along: 31 weeks
Due Date: April 23rd. She is measuring small which means that while I (and every pregnant woman ever) may hope for at the an on time baby, if not a little early, it’s probably not going to happen.
Weight Gain: Up 21 pounds. It feels nice to be gaining a steady and reasonable amount of weight, but I still feel enormous. If I can maintain this momentum, I should gain around 30 pounds, which would be amazing.
Maternity Clothing: I’m rotating 8-10 outfits and it is getting old real fast. I’ve still been going with a pretty decent mix of maternity and non-maternity, but that non-maternity is definitely on its way out.
Sleep: Wah wah. Between the heartburn and the hip pain combined with the insomnia, I am craving some amazing sleep. That comes after the baby though right?
Stretch marks: This girl is sitting much lower than Eli ever did, closer and tighter to my body, so I’m hopeful I won’t get stretch marks since I didn’t last time.
Missing Anything: Just being myself. It makes sense that since pregnancy is such a small portion of time in my life that I don’t feel quite like myself. I miss easily moving around, bending down and going for a run.
Movement: Lots of movement. She feels so different from Eli. Instead of big punches and kicks, she is really into somersaults and weird massage type things. It feels like she is constantly spreading her fingers out and pressing and massaging my insides.
Looking Forward to: I’m so looking forward to her being here. The anticipation of a new baby is full of stress and anxiety and then once they’re here, they just add so much goodness to your life. I loved those weeks after Eli arrived; it was the best, cozy, warmest time. Pregnancy the second time around seems to drag on and on forever.
. . . . .
Anyone else in your third trimester? How is it going?

I’m due the 23rd as well! The movement I’ve been feeling is the same as yours. I was just telling my husband it feels like the baby is pushing out with both arms and legs on either side. So different from the little kicks last time.

You’re in the home stretch! With my second, I felt like the time really flew by because I was chasing after a toddler, but those last few weeks/days do seem to drag. Good luck!

I’m due ten days before you and this kid kicks so much more than my first. I’m really looking forward to waking up for a baby instead of discomfort.

I’m 35w at the moment and doing really well! Not too many kicks here either — he just has the wiggles. I’m picturing it as him being asleep most of the time and then trying to stretch out or roll over.
