Amidst all the craziness of my life right now, I was so excited to sit down and choose a “coming home from the hospital” outfit for baby number two. I was lucky to receive an Amazon gift card for my birthday, so I used it to buy a few onesies and an outfit that baby number two will hopefully get to come home in in a couple months. Little did I know, there are so many cute little outfits for newborns and infants on Amazon, so I wanted to quickly share my favorites with you.
1) I’m not sure how I feel about bringing baby home in a sleepsack/nightgown, but this one with the sleepy doll face print was just too precious to skip. I haven’t ordered it yet, but I still might! (And oh my, that little cap with the swirls!)
2) There’s just something about these nightgown + cap sets that tug at my heartstrings. And this one’s got stripes!
3) This baby lamb three-piece outfit from Carter’s is so sweet—and I am a total sucker for hats or hoods with ears! I didn’t end up purchasing this one because I don’t think we’ll need socks or a onesie with long pants when baby number two is a newborn.
4) Another adorable romper, this little bear-faced number is perfection. But I wasn’t sure how practical the long legs would be with a baby born in September in Texas. (It doesn’t really get cold here until winter.) I also wasn’t sure how comfortable or easy to change this outfit would be.
5) This “baby bear” onesie with coordinating pants and hat is the one I ended up choosing for baby number two’s coming home from the hospital outfit. I love the design, and I love that it has pants on the off chance it’s cold, but we can just leave him in the onesie if it’s super hot (which it probably will be).
6) I absolutely love little hoodies on babies, and I can’t get enough of this romper style (especially because kids grow out of rompers so quickly!). The colors and geometric print are amazing too—I’d love a matching top to wear with baby! The smallest size it comes in is four months, so I had to pass this romper up.
7) Gotta start that Harry Potter brainwashing from day one, right? I can’t get over the fact that this newborn set comes with leggings and a cap in Gryffindor colors (though I’m a Hufflepuff).
8) I’m obsessed with the font on this “Little Peanut” onesie. I’m very particular about baby clothes with words on them, but I think the phrase “Little Peanut” is cute and pretty inoffensive. (This one also comes in pink and blue, but I like the white version best.)
9) I love the message behind this onesie. “Let the Adventure Begin” is the perfect way to welcome your new addition into the world.
10) I also ended up purchasing this sweet little origami onesie because it was just so cute, and Mr. Cotton Candy also loved it. I can’t wait to see baby number two in some of these outfits!
What did your baby or babies wear home from the hospital?

I don’t recommend sleep sacks or nightgowns for going home outfits (though these are super cute) as it’s really difficult to get them properly situated in their car seat in gowns.

Funny you just posted this! That bear one was my favorite from amazon as well (looking for a friend’s gift) but the reviews weren’t good so I passed. It’s soooo adorable though. How bad can it be/how much can it matter for one day anyway??

@wrkbrk: I’ve already received it and the quality seems fine! It’s very cute in person. We’ll see how well it fits once baby is here.

I love them all! I recently found the options on amazon and I already ordered #1, #5, and #7. Too cute to pass up!
