My almost 3-year-old nephew has been obsessed with dinosaurs for more than half his life, so with his birthday quickly approaching, I have been looking at all things dinosaur lately. Here are some of my favorite finds geared mostly for preschool age kids.

1) Encyclopedia Prehistorica: Dinosaurs pop-up book – This is such an amazing pop-up book filled with tons of facts about dinosaurs.  I wouldn’t necessarily purchase the book for a young 3-year-old because I wouldn’t want it to get destroyed, but I think a true dinosaur lover should get a hold of this book.

2) Dinosaur backpack – I bought this backpack for my nephew’s birthday last year and he still takes it around everywhere.  He likes to wear the backpack and pretend he’s a dinosaur.

3) 3D dinosaur night light – As long as the child doesn’t get scared of sleeping with a dinosaur in the dark, I think this would be pretty awesome.

4) Dinosaur windbreaker jacket – Any dinosaur spikes on clothes is a win for me!

5) Dinosaur figures – Every dinosaur lover needs some plastic dinosaur figures. I was drawn to these because they have movable body parts that I think make it a bit more fun to pay with.

6) Dinosaur stamps – I love activities that can be quiet and fun. My little ones love using stamps so I’m sure this would be a hit for a dinosaur lover.

7) Dinosaur puzzle – For any child that loves puzzles, Ravensburger puzzles are great quality. They have several different dinosaur puzzle options with varying number of pieces to best suit the child.

8) Reusable dinosaur sticker pad – My kids love to get their hands on a reusable Melissa & Doug sticker pads. It keeps them entertained for long periods of time and they are reusable.

9) Dinosaur tail – Who wouldn’t want their very own dinosaur tail?

10) Dinosaur STEM toy – I like that it comes already assembled so it’s ready to be played with as soon as a child opens the box, but it’s a toy that has tools to dissemble and build again too.

11) Dinosaur magnets – I love the quality of Melissa & Doug toys and magnets are often a hit with kids so I can see this being fun for kids to play with.

12) National Geographic Kids Ultimate Dinopedia – Any kid that loves dinosaurs loves to learn everything they can about these creatures. There is a “little kids” version but this book just recently came out and is even more comprehensive with awesome reviews that I think it would be great for even the younger ones.
