Our little guys love ninjas and Lion even had a ninja-themed birthday party. Here are some of our favorite ninja-related toys, as well as some things from his wishlist.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Micro Mutant Pet to Playset – These TMNT micro mutants are perfect for traveling and we used them on a recent vacation. We have Leonardo and Michelangelo, which each comes with one ninja turtle and one villain. We’ve been surprised with how much the kids love playing with these playsets, which remind me a little of polly pockets. If you don’t want to get the playsets, there are also a few micro mutants that come with a vehicle and can fit in a pocket.
Ninjago Lego Dragon – There are quite a few different Ninjago Lego sets, but this dragon has been a huge hit. I will caution that it’s relatively complicated to put together and I had to put the vast majority of it together for Lion. It gets a lot of play, though, and because of the higher number of pieces compared to other lego sets that Lion currently has, it actually stays together much better.
Ninjago Lego Junior Set – If you want to get a Ninjago lego set that your little one can put together himself, I highly recommend the Lego junior variety. Lion has this boat and this helicopter, both of which were simple enough for him to put together. Tip: we buy most of our Lego sets from Amazon Warehouse because the Lego boxes get damaged easily during shipping and you can get great deals on Amazon Warehouse. (more Lego-collection tips here and general Lego gift guide here).
Ninja costumes – We are always a big fan of dress-up and a ninja costume would be a great addition.
Ninja Turtle Masks – These Ninja Turtle masks get regular use in our home. We also got these felt masks for the party favor boxes at Lion’s fourth birthday.
Fairy Tales – Books always make great gifts! We love these ninja takes on classic fairy tales by Corey Rosen Schwartz: Ninja Red Riding Hood, Hensel and Gretel: Ninja Chicks, and Three Ninja Pigs. The kids frequently want us to read these and Mr. Dolphin and I find them enjoyable, too.
Ninjago Hooded Towel – The kids love their hooded towels and I think would really enjoy these Ninjago-themed versions.
Ninja Costume Hoodie with Mask – I love how costume hoodies serve double duty: dress-up and actual clothing! This version on Etsy is super cute and I like that it has an attached mask.
