I did a lot of the kids’ Christmas shopping during the year, so when December rolled around I didn’t actually have much to buy and  focused my attention on their stockings. As a disclaimer, I tend to prefer spending a little more for stockings and buying quality over quantity. Here are some of the ideas I had that would fit inside stockings.

Stuffed Animals – Fiona was given this adorable Squishmallow stuffed animal for her birthday this year and we are both a little obsessed with it. I love how soft they are and they come in so many different sizes. Along the way I also discovered Squeezamals, Shimmeez, Beanie Boos, Itty Bittys and Pusheen. My kids would inevitably love all of these and it was hard to limit myself since they are all so cute.

Blind Bags – Every kid loves these things and there are literally a million different kinds under the sun. Drake has a small collection of Tsums Tsums that started our adventures into this world. Juliet has her own collection of Care Bears and I myself even have a small Tokidoki Unicorno set from my college days. After staring at all the hundreds of available options, I opted to try these Kitty Cone erasers for the girls because the packaging was adorable, erasers are at least useful, and my girls are obsessed with ice cream like all kids.

Books – I love books and any chance to share more books with my kids is a win. It’s easy to find chapter booksboard books, and paperbacks that can easily fit into stockings.

Socks/Hats Gloves – Socks always seem to go missing or spring a hole in this house. I’m constantly buying replacements so why not get a few extra and help fill the stockings. Juliet and Fiona were also both in need of new hats and mittens so this was the perfect time to check one more necessity off my list.

Art Supplies – My kids draw all the time and we burn through art supplies fast. In the past I have filled their stockings with some more fun options besides the basic Crayola ones like this Star Crayon set and I always like seeing what other cute and unique additions we can add to our arsenal.

Ornaments – Recently I learned about a tradition of buying ornaments for your kids every year so that when they grow up they will have a stash of ornaments at the ready for when they move out. I found a sweet trio of elves while browsing Target recently that were wooden and made me think of the ornaments of my own childhood. They were on sale and I thought a perfect addition to this new tradition I hope to undertake. There are so many wonderful, fun, and different ornaments out there and I am looking forward to looking every year for that special one to add to each kid’s collection.

Accessories – My girls are really getting into accessories like headbands, jewelry, and even makeup which are fun to buy as little surprises like stocking stuffers. For boys sunglasses always work as well as gloves.
