My friend loves her air fryer so much, she sent me one because she knew it would change my life. And she was right! I use my air fryer every single day to make bacon, vegetables, fries, meat, and so much more! My only regret is not getting one sooner. I wish I had two! It makes cooking meals so much faster and easier with less clean-up. If you don’t have one yet, I highly recommend getting one. These are my kids’ favorite air fryer recipes!
Bacon – I use my air fryer almost every morning to cook bacon or breakfast sausages. I don’t have to stand at the stove or worry about grease splashing on me, and the bacon comes out perfectly crisp. I’d seriously get an air fryer just for bacon and sausages. It’s also great for warming up bread like frozen croissants.
Hamburgers – I usually make a bunch of hamburger patties and freeze them so I can pop them straight into the air fryer. I also always have bread in my freezer (I freeze everything!) because it’s hard to finish a pack of buns at once. But if I don’t have buns, I just use plain sliced wheat bread.
Fries – I would never have made fries at home if not for the air fryer because I’d have to deal with so much oil. Air fryer fries just use a light toss of oil so they’re much healthier, and it’s beyond easy.
Potato Chips – After we mastered fries, we decided to give chips a try and they turned out great! And of course they’re much healthier than the junk food variety.
Chicken Nuggets – The kids help me make these in huge batches and we freeze them. Seriously anything that needs to be fried is better, easier, and healthier in the air fryer!
Mozzarella Sticks – Charlie looooves mozarella sticks but like fries, I hate making them because of all the mess. Not anymore with the air fryer!
Dumplings – I always have frozen Korean dumplings in my freezer, as they’re an easy go-to meal or appetizer that everyone loves. Now the air fryer has made it even easier. Air fryer dumplings are so popular, instructions are even on the bag!
Chicken Quarters – The air fryer excels at cooking super juicy bone-in chicken. Once you make them in the air fryer, you won’t want to cook them any other way! I like to use chicken leg quarters because my kids will eat one each. Even with just oil, salt, and pepper, they’re delicious.
Salmon – I cook salmon once a week and it’s never been faster (7 minutes) or easier!
Broccoli – This is the exact recipe I use to air fry broccoli, which I do at least once a week! You can add a sprinkling of parmesan cheese on top afterwards if you want. This is my kids’ favorite way to eat broccoli because it comes out so crispy. They can seriously eat an entire head of broccoli in one sitting.
Brussels Sprouts – If I have bacon on hand, I always add it. Vegetables like brussels sprouts that would take much longer to roast in the oven cook super fast in the air fryer.
Asparagus – Asparagus is another veggie that goes great with bacon, or you can sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top afterwards. My kids can eat an entire bunch of asparagus in one sitting. After cucumbers, it’s their favorite vegetable, followed by broccoli.
Teriyaki Chicken – This is one of my kids’ favorite meals. I just wish I had two air fryers so I could cook meat in one and vegetables in the other!
Chicken Katsu – Another one of the kids’ all time favorites. This would be great in a sandwich too! I prep this in big batches and always have some in the freezer. I put rice on in my rice cooker, then cook chicken katsu in the air fryer, and then veggies in the air fryer and I have an entire meal.
Galbi (Korean Short Ribs) – The recipe linked isn’t an air fryer recipe, but it provides the recipe for the marinade as well as alternative cuts of beef. Galbi is definitely one of my all time favorite things I’ve made in my air fryer. After using this marinade recipe, simply cook for 6 minutes on 400 degrees, then flip and cook for 6 more minutes.
Apple Chips – We used to go apple picking every year when we lived in New York, and always ended up with more apples than we could eat. So we would make apple chips with them! Apple chips turn out beautifully in an air fryer, and it’s so much faster!
. . . . .
I don’t really bake, but that’s next on my list to tackle with the air fryer.
Any other air fryer lovers out there? What are your favorite air fryer recipes to make?

Are there any negatives with the air fryer other than the space it takes. Is it easy to clean? I would love an easy way to make crispy bacon and veggies without heating up my house. This all looks so good!

We love our air fryer! We don’t have central air and when it gets very hot in the summer turning on the oven is not an option. It’s been a big hit this summer!

@autumnleaves: yes it’s easy to clean! I just made broccoli and chicken drumsticks in it for dinner last night and bacon for breakfast.

@Mrs. Marshmallow: yes a huge difference in terms of heat esp since we live in a tropical climate and don’t have air conditioning in our kitchen. It gets super hot when we cook!

We got an air fryer almost a year ago and I love it. Although I haven’t tried nearly as many things as you cook. I’m definitely going to have to try bacon!
We have a ninja that has two baskets which is amazing for making meals.
