BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My name and icon has never been more appropriate! We are super duper excited about our little men. I can’t wait to dress them up in little old man clothes: jackets with elbow patches, page boy hats, suspenders, sweater vests, and Lord help me if I can’t find a cute bow tie!
The ultrasound tech, who is not my favorite one, said “We can’t tell the gender with certainty until 20 weeks.” But as soon as she looked she said, “Baby A looks like a boy. And Baby B is a boy, also.” She didn’t hesitate at all, so I feel pretty confident that I am about to be way outnumbered in our household!
Mr. Blue and I have to start really thinking about boy names, nurseries, etc. Since everyone in our life (including me–so much for mother’s intuition!) was leaning toward girls that’s really what we’ve focused on. We even had the BEST girl names picked out; I’m a little sad about having to give them up for now. We have several serious contenders for boy names, but definitely nothing concrete. Time to name these babies and do some serious planning! Mr. Blue is just planning how soon he can put them in tee ball.
Was your mother’s intuition right? Any advice from those of you with boys?

Congratualtions! I’m so excited for you! Being a mother to identical twin boys is amazing
They’re so much fun and you have an exciting journey ahead of you! I too thought we were having girls, had girls names, envisioned pink everywhere… but sure enough I was wrong. I thought picking out boys names was hard honestly, but we love what we came up with and you will too!

Congrats on your little boys! My intuition was TOTALLY off. I was so convinced we were having a girl, that when the ultrasound tech said “boy,” I just stared at her for a second and said, “Wait….what?!”

I am a mom to three little boys one singleton and identical twin boys. My best advice is let them be boys. I don’t always grasp the whole boy mentality but I am learning. Of course my husband is there to guide me in the boy realm. Also welcome to the world of being out numbered in your household it’s a great ride!

Congrats! Welcome to team BLUE! I always knew, even before I got pregnant, that my firstborn would be a little boy..and bam! I was right. DH, on the other hand, really hoped for a girl and even bought little girl clothes even before we found out! Needless to say, those went back to returns. Now he’s super excited to have a mini version of him running around soon! Congrats again!

YAYYYYY!!!!! omg soooo excited for you! Little boys are the BEST. Seriously!!! I couldn’t imagine my life without one! But I totally get the feeling, I thought I was having a girl and was a tad disappointed at first… once I met my boy I was ecstatic!
Also – if you cannot find a bow tie- I can make some for you!!
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
Thanks! Everyone has been worried that I’m disappointed, but I’m truly looking forward to our boys! It was not what I was expecting, but now I just get the fun of mentally planning another nursery!

I swore up an down I was having a boy even though we had an ultrasound. I kept having dreams and just intuition feelings. Alas, we had the girl they told us we would have all along lol I think I was just terrified of having to buy more things and re-do a nursery

Congratulations!!!
I was CONVINCED we were having a girl. We were Team Green, and when LO was born and DH shouted that it was a boy my very first thought was “Huh, I thought he’d be a girl” (my second was “Wow, he’s huge!”–Mom of the Year right here).
But I can’t imagine having a girl now. And I concur with winniebee–point down!!! Also, warn your DH now that baby boys get erections. It really freaked DH out the first time it happened.

Yay! Congrats! Growing up I always dreamed of having twin boys of my own, instead of I married one, lol.
Boys are so fun and lovable, you’ll love being a boy mama!! As far as intuition, I really hoped and thought I would have a boy, and I was pleasantly surprised when we found out we were having one. I can’t wait to hear the names you go with, and if you’re willing to share what their girl names would have been. My DH would have been a Jennifer if he was a girl, lol.
