I am working away on my registry series, and I have many many items that are not in the “need” category, but they have been so handy to have that I feel like they need a mention! I love a good gadget and these have all been very useful to me as a new Mom.

1. Infantino Cart Cover – People have mixed opinions about whether or not you should buy a shopping cart cover. I am on the “buy” side of things! Shopping carts are sticky and gross and sometimes rusty. I just like the idea of having a clean surface for my little one to hold onto – and me as well come to think of it! I have tried wiping them down with wipes and it doesn’t put me enough at ease. Just call me a germ-a-phobe! This cover also works for highchairs.

2. Boon Grass Countertop Drying Rack – You will see this on many many baby essential lists and while I do not feel it is in any way “essential,” it actually is very handy to have. I use this rack to stand up my bottles and let them drain before they head into the sterilizer and in the early days, it was where all of my pump parts lived between uses. It also doesn’t hurt that it is cute and you don’t mind leaving it out on the counter even when there is company coming. This little guy is quite the conversation starter let me tell you!

3. Boon Snack Ball – We have lots of little snack containers around here and I have to say this one is my favourite. It closes tightly and has never spilled in my bag. It also is easy to clean because it comes completely apart. Like most Boon products, it is adorable, which doesn’t hurt either!

4.  Boon Squirt Silicone Baby Food Dispensing Spoon – Another Boon product…do we sense a trend here? I can not tell you how many times I have pulled this spoon out to use with Little Tea Cup, and people have come over and commented about what a great idea it is! It is made up of two pieces: one which you load up with puree and the other that has a spoon with a hole. When you squeeze one end the food comes out onto the spoon. Little Tea Cup is not a big fan of eating straight from a pouch, so this is perfect for when we are out and about. It is also easy to clean!

5.  OXO Tot Roll Up Bib – This is a recent addition to our diaper bag and I really like it. It rolls up completely within itself which means whatever mess is left behind does not get on other things. I love that it has fabric on the top so there is no plastic around my little one’s neck, as plastic tends to mark and irritate her sensitive skin. It is machine washable which makes removing stains a breeze.
