Stats

No height and weight this month but we go to the doctor in 2 weeks! I’m guessing she’s around 18 lbs and 25 inches long… we’ll see! She’s still in most of her 6 month clothes but fitting into 9 month pants well.

Eating

Oh my goodness this child EATS! We typically have 2 meals a day (mid-morning and late afternoon) and she takes 4 bottles 4 times a day as well, usually around 6 oz each. She feeds herself entirely and eats anything we put in front of her. She loves chicken and turkey, waffles, roasted butternut squash, apples, broccoli, and quesadillas.

Sleeping

No real change here. She goes to bed around 8pm and gets up at 7am almost daily. When the two top teeth came in about a week ago, our sleep really suffered – she was up at 4:30am a few times (OUCH). But once they broke through we were back to our normal routine.

Development

I mentioned we have teeth! Four to be exact. She looks like a little chipmunk. She’s mastered cruising the furniture and toys and anything else she can pull herself up on. She’s let go a couple times, but is very wobbly on her feet. She’s completely fearless and will pull herself into a standing position wherever she is – especially in the bathtub much to her mommy’s dismay. We also have some new tricks – waving and clapping! She won’t do it on command, but we’re working on getting her to associate waving with “bye bye” and clapping with “yay!”.

Likes: banging on her tambourine and drums, standing in the bathtub, crawling around at the park like a big kid, pulling mom’s glasses off her face, being tickled, turkey meatballs and chicken quesadillas, when dad gets home from work, playing with Abby, Elmo’s song

Dislikes: diaper changes, being woken up from naps, when mom won’t let her stand in the tub, long car rides

I haven’t quite come to terms with how big she’s getting! But like I say each month, it only gets more fun.
