Inspired by Mrs. Bee’s recent post about the best stores to buy swimsuits for kids, I thought I’d share my favorite styles in boys’ swimwear this season. Since Liam still fits in most of his swimsuits from last year, I probably won’t be buying him any new ones this year, but if I did, these would be on my list!

Zara Striped Boxers – I am loving the boxer style trend in boys’ swimwear right now. It isn’t great for sun protection, but for a heated indoor pool, these cute little shorts are adorable.
J Crew – These pastel color block shorts are nice and long for sun protection, but they are also slim through the leg, which I like.

Gap Orange Rash Guard Hoodie – I always put Liam in a rash guard and this one would be perfect for cooler beach days, which we tend to see in May and June out here.
Old Navy Royal Blue Rashguard – This rash guard would work for warmer days and would go with many different bottoms, for easy mixing and matching.
Gymboree Happy Shark Set – If you like everything to match, Gymboree always has cute coordinating sets that include accessories.

Janie and Jack Plaid Swim Trunk – These shorts look good enough to pass as non swimwear, too!
Carters Lobster Swim trunk – Even though we live in California, I love the styles that feature more East Coast themes, like lobsters or lighthouses.
I’m so excited for summer!
Where did you pick up a swimming suit for your little boy?

I love your selections! My son has always worn swim trunks from the Gap. He still fits in his trunks from last year! My parents got him a set from Gymboree and they are gigantic (size 2T-3T)…they probably won’t fit until next summer.
I really like some of the selections from Cotton On!

Target. It was on the Cartwheel a few weeks ago. Easy peasy. His trunks have turtles on them. I can’t resist a good turtle.

We bought DS the Zara boxers in navy/white stripes and I just died at how cute they were on him! Good picks!

@lilyann: Even though Liam doesn’t need any swimsuits this year, I might just have to buy those ones. They are SO cute!

Love those striped trunks!!! CB is wearing the same swimsuits for 3 years in a row — one of them for 4 years! I’m going to retire that one, though, because it looks a little short, but he still fits into his 24m and 2T suits!

My favorite rash guards are actually the plain white ones by either iPlay or the Babies R Us Brand.
Another option is One Step Ahead, they have rash guards that aren’t that weird silky material that my son hates!
