Hello! Hellobee was always such a comfort for me and I’m happy to see some activity here. It’s been just over a year since I last posted here and quite a bit has changed.

LeLe is 7 now and is in the second grade. She is thriving in school but has had some struggles outside of school. She’s still my little gem and I am amazed daily at the fact that she came from me. Little Bug is 6 and in the first grade. He’s one of the funniest people I know and is such a happy little person. Both kids were home for pretty much all of the last year and that was a STRUGGLE. They’re both in soccer and swimming now and loving both. It’s crazy how quickly they both have grown up.

As for me… I am in the 2nd year of a doctoral program. I am doing what I love and absolutely loving what I do. I am getting to research student success for secondary education specific to academic advising approaches, and I feel like I am in my own little heaven. My job is absolutely crazy and I am in line for a pretty big promotion once I finish my class work. I really love my job and I love working with students so this is definitely the right fit for me.

On a personal note, I am going through a divorce. It is hard y’all. But I am also looking forward to my freedom and having the time to pursue some of my hobbies that I wasn’t able to before. Divorce is a crazy experience and not at all fun, but I’m going to try to offer some positive perspectives of it in the future here.

I’ll be trying to update fairly regularly here. Before when I was blogging here I was worried I would run out of content, but as my kids grow and as my life evolves, it seems like there is a never ending bucket of topics to talk about now. Glad to be back!
